I'm afraid that's where I'm headed. Mine has just been sitting in Hong Kong PO since last Friday. Just kicked back, chillin'. In no hurry. At all. *sigh*

Don't feel too bad my order is still waiting for ONE THING to be ready to ship the date given is NINE days out. GROWL that isn't what it said when I ordered it.

People, Fast or Cheap, you chose cheap, if you get it fast then it's all good, but you only paid for cheap.

That's not a reasonable conclusion.
Yes, we understand if we choose to use a free shipping method, the sender is going to go with the least expensive and by nature, least speedy method. But, letting an order sit for a week before you even pick it is not acceptable. All orders should be with the carrier within 48 hours of payment. The core reason we live in a world plagued with poor service is because people lay down and accept it as the new normal.
Something tells me you wouldn't be quite so accommodating if you went to CHEAP McDonalds drive through and CHOSE CHEAP and your food didn't come out for 20 minutes. I could also be standing on the sidewalk, pointing my finger at you and saying "hey, you chose cheap, you only paid for cheap so live with it.".
There are reasonable expectations. For instance, I know China is 4 thousand miles away and the free shipping option I chose isn't going to get my 6 dollar Ego battery a ride on an F-16 straight to my house and parachuted onto my front porch.
However, I do expect the seller to at least have it in the envelope and handed off to the postal service within 48 hours of taking my dang money. Anything more is just plain poor service and IMHO and crosses the threshold of acceptable. If this happens to me one more time, it will be my last FT order.

The above is the world you wish for.

Waiting is the world you paid for.

I don't know how you figure how it is suppose to be in a carriers hands in 48? Some times it happens and some times it don't. Sorry, but FT is not usually instant gratification. Just a few short years ago it use to take weeks/months. Like the Sargent use to say to me,. " YOU volunteered for this." It usually didn't help much when he said that though.

I'm sorry, let me inject some fact into this "discussion"

"9. What does each stock status mean?
Timely shipping is the number one priority for us. Here is what stock status means:

Ships today: orders leave our doors within 12 hours

Ships next day: orders leave our doors before the next business day ends
In stock: orders leave our doors within 2 business days
Back ordered: specific shipping time estimated and displayed on product pages"

And if you feel a need to make excuses for that, go ask FastTech to remove it from their policy first, because that's a direct copy/paste from it and that is the product they sold to me. Would you also make excuses for them if you bought and paid for an 18560 battery and got a generic AAA alkaline in the mail 2 weeks later? I think not.

I didn't ask for instant gratification, go back and actually read my post again. And I don't much care how things USED to be in your experience. I've been ordering this stuff for quite a few years from Chinese vendors, I'm not new to this game like some of the experts around here.
Why do people such as yourself have this burning desire to defend incompetence?
So get off of your "suck it up, you asked for trouble" soap box. There is no excuse for this sort of behavior from a vendor except for an occasional fumble. With Fasttech, it appears to be becoming SOP.
I suppose we could ALL stand around and attack the people who are buying stuff from them when they complain, and then maybe if we are lucky, Fasttech will start taking 30 days to pick and ship an order and then you could defend that behavior as well... sound good?
I didn't "pay for" taking a week to pick and ship an item. I paid for 48 hour order-to-ship service. I paid for accepting to be at the mercy of the postal system, not FasttTech packaging my stuff whenever they feel like it.

I had one item that was supposed to be days out but magically appeared way ahead of the estimate. Look at that estimate as a "worst case scenario."

Yup, heard that. I specifically waited until everything was listed as in-stock before I ordered. Of course the very next day, the X6 set I ordered went out of stock, and I had to wait a couple of days for that to come back up and get notice that my order was packed. Not bad, but still. WHERE'S MY INSTANT GRATIFICATION?? 'MURICA!!

Maybe you need to order a few of these.

Stress-Reliever Screaming Panda Squeeze Toy

My biggest irritation is when smart-aleky people attack me for being irritated for not getting what I was promised. It's the same people who attack everyone for calling out FastTech for selling something we can buy in the states for half the price from an already known ripoff vendor. I'm starting to wonder if these guys have stock in Fasttech or something.

Just received my FastTech shipment this morning, biggest one so far...

Sorta afraid of the batteries I received.... they look like they've been through hell. Dinged up and dirty like they've been used (most likely why they're "As-Is"?

I am LOVING this IGO-L however. Never dripped before, and appears to be noob friendly :) Been putting my homemade Rootbeer in it...wow...fantastic and cant put it down. Carried the dang thing outside to garden with even... I have a problem...

Yea, the ships by date/xxx thing is real sketchy and everyone assumes that I think. It's an estimated date on when they will receive more stock and no one would blame them if it changed... they can't control that part of the game. One should probably expect that to be just what it is: an estimate that could be really close or really really far off. It wasn't Fasttech, but I've actually ordered something under those conditions from somewhere else and it eventually never happened at ALL... the vendor couldn't get the items at all anymore.
I'm a relatively reasonable person when it comes to most things, but when they tell me "ships in 2 days or less", it had better not take 5-7. THAT's when I start getting irritable. I have an order pending exactly as such right now, all items shown in stock and this is day 5, still not shipped. And, this is about the 4th or 5th time they have done this to me; I'm no longer willing to afford them the benefit of the doubt and assume it's an anomaly, it's becoming standard practice and their claims of 48 hour shipping are misleading to put it nicely.

I don't think I would've trusted "As-Is" batteries. They look beat up in the picture. I'd be checking them constantly the first time I charged and used them.

I never go anywhere without an ecig. I'd have a problem if I did.

What the hell is with everyone posting affiliate links and the mods not doing anything about it.. I have been seeing this alot recently...

Case in point, UrbanChandler a few posts up.. talking about his "Order".. every link is an affiliate link. It makes my think he didn't even order and is just trying to post links.

That means that ANYTHING you purchase from Fasttech in the next 45 DAYS, he gets 3% of.. unless of course you click on another affiliate link in between...

This spamming of affiliate links needs to go...

EDIT..

I just started looking at some more links... and they look like they might be all the safe affiliate code... is ECF now putting their affiliate info in on links posted?
