Mhmmmmmmmmm.....so, I placed my order to fasttech back on Sep. 24 and part of my order is now on the island (they had to split the order because the other one was back ordered?). Anyway, that means it's only been about 12 days since I placed my order. I'm surprised. I expected to be waiting over a month and here I am anticipating the arrival of my order.

Do I wanna order more from fasttech? Idk, I just might, but for now, I'm taking a break from new purchases (the GF is on my back about it lol). Good luck to the rest of you.

Just conspicuously stuff a $5 bill into a jar every day and call it your smoking money.

Does anyone know what is going on with the FT Ithaka?? Should I expect to get the one that I paid for at this point, and, if I do, will it be the exact same as the ones that have already been received? thanks

I got impatient and ordered one from here, he has them in stock: Ithaka Rebuildable Atomizer - Stainless Steel

FT Oddy came first, so was great to learn on, and honestly tastes just as good. (just harder to setup)

Whatever you do, don't go to candlepowerforums.com if you want to not spend money on flashlights! Been there, done that and THEN got into lasers after that! Much rather vape... But I do have some cool flashlights with the bonus being I have a bunch batteries.

I don't understand. Why would someone buy more than one or two flashlights? Does the power go out that much?

I'm sure the Flashlight crowd looks at us like we're nuts ... winding coils, ohm meters all over the place, drill bits, torches, spools of wire ... my desk looks like I'm building a bomb or something. LOL

My guess is, the same reason I have much more than one or two mechanical mods/drip tips/RBAs. All I really NEED is one drip tip, but I have dozens. I only NEED one mech, but have several. Hobbies are all about the wants instead of the needs.

I got a tacklebox to put it all in.

I also got a box of assorted gun powders right here too.

Yep........I have three compound bows. Most people would think that is a total waste! LOL

I have 4 or 5, plus a recurve. 2 of the compounds are a bit dated though. Thing is I haven't shot in about 3 years because my neck and shoulders are having issues. I may have to switch to crossbows soon.

If ebay prices ever would've come down on used higher end bows I'd have more but people seem to think they can use/abuse something like that and then sell it for $50 less than they paid. Sorry, no warranty on something like a bow, you lost a lot more than $50 driving it off the lot.

wait, I thought we WERE nuts?

I have an entire lab going now for DIY... I hope no one ever goes into the basement otherwise I'll have the DEA with their knee in my back demanding to know where I keep the Sudafed.

Well, I can see the reasons for all of those (and most other things). Different mods/tips/tanks, etc all give a different experience to vaping. They all bring a different pleasure. Same with different bows, guitars, and many other things. But flashlights? How many different experiences can you have shining a light on something? And how often would you need to do it? Shooting a bow, for example, is a skill that leads to accomplishments (hunting or targets) and gratification. How does illuminating something when the lights are out give gratification? Sorry to derail the thread, but it is really very strange to me. I guess it's akin to people being furries, I'll just never understand it.

Somewhere out there
speaking of flashlights, did you know the itaste 134 design iTaste 134 - Best Electronic Cigarette | E Cigarette Manufacturer| Innokin borrows heavily from some high end flashlight designs Review: UltraFire XG-V3 from Dealxtreme | BudgetLightForum.com

Go to the candlepower forum and you'll see some of the flashlight geeks spend as much as the mech mod geeks and they have pretty metal tubes just like the high end mods.

To keep this vaguely on topic, I first found out about fastech while reading BLF last winter and picking out a couple of flashlights, like this $8.58 UltraFire C3 Cree LED Flashlight with Holster - 1 x AA / 1 x 14500 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping and $6.76 SIPIK SK68 Cree Q3-WC 120-Lumen Convex Lens LED Flashlight - 1 x AA / 1 x 14500 at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Now I want an 18650 flashlight (since I have the batteries) Thinking about this one $15.88 Convoy S2 Cree XM-L T5-5C 2-Group 3/5-Mode EDC LED Flashlight - 1*18650 / AMC7135*4 / carrying strap at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping or this $18.43 X-Power Cree XM-L T6-3C 4-Group 2/3/3/5-Mode 640-Lumen LED Flashlight - 1 x 18650 / with 7135*5 constant current drive circuit at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Now you've got me imagining the flashlight modders under the covers reading with their flashlights, this book works better with that flashlight.

I was wondering more about the laser modders. Unless they're making lasers that can do some damage, what's the point? Well, other than to point at things.

I don't know. Just a guess, but maybe it's a way to tinker with electronics; there may be some really cool looking flashlights; and I'm guessing they can be very high powered, based on how much they dig into battery technicallities. High powered flashlights could be fun when camping or alongside other outdoor night activities.

I'm really not sure the draw to it either, but that's how many hobbies are, others who aren't into it may think it's kind of weird. I've gotten weird looks when people ask why I have so many different flavors or mods, and I say I've made vaping a hobby. Many don't even realize it can be a hobby, they were only aware of it as a stop smoking aid. Why do you need so many ecigs Jerms? You have only one mouth. Lol.

I often buy ecig stuff for one reason.. it looks cool. With a hobby, that's a good enough reason. I have no need to ever get another drip tip; I have enough variety of materials and shapes. But if I see one that looks real neat, I may buy it. And with mechs, I may get one that funtions the exact same way as one I already have, but has a different look. My guess is it's the same with flashlights.

Hey, for what it's worth, my view on flashlights is the same as yours. But you know what they say.....different strokes.

I'm really curious about this if anyone has info. When my delayed ship date finally rolled around it said "restocking" as my new ship date. I opened a ticket and they said something about manufacturer problems and 7 more days.

I just wonder, if they even get more, if they will be the same as the original stock. Guess ill just have to impatiently wait and see! lol

Im just trying to figure out whats going on here:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/requests-opinions-reviews/464670-fast-tech-itaste-vv-3-0-a.html

Every single thing i can find indicates they are 100% genuine, all the stateside kits i can see are identical to the FT kit.

They are genuine. Definitely. I have the iTaste v.2, the iTaste v.3 and the MVP. All genuine.

The general rule of thumb with FT is that if FT says it's genuine, using the manufacturer's name in the title, then it is genuine. If the title says Innokin MVP, then it IS an Innokin MVP. If it says something like eGo-C or Evod, for example, then it is generic.

For a good source of information, read the reviews and discussions on the product page. Somebody always asks the authenticity question. You can ask about materials, compatibility, whatever. The FT forum mods, Geek, Lydia, Jasmine, give straight answers.
