Just got my VAMO v2 today from fasttech!

It came with batteries (wrapped in foil) and the device along with some clearo tanks!

It was shipped on the 9/22 and arrived on 10/2. Not bad I suppose :)

Very happy its here! :)

That's kinda funny, I got 2 shipments of liquid and they were wrapped in aluminum foil as well.
Seems to me that would actually attract attention. Either that or the scanners simply don't have the gumption to deal with it when they DO see it.

1st order: Assorted tanks, 650mAH eGo twist battery, an EE2 "grenade" style 650mAh battery and 510-eGo adapter
Placed 9/6, accepted 9/9, hit SF 9/23, delivered 9/25

2nd order: Kanger Protank 1, gold TVS clone, Igo-L
Placed 9/24, accepted 9/27, hit SF 10/1, delivered ??? (probably tomorrow or Friday)

I would have to agree with the hypothesis presented earlier, a container/truckload was stopped and picked over with a fine tooth comb. Sucks that the items that offer the greatest savings compared to stateside are the items that hold up the shipment.

Is it just me, or is anyone else a little queasy at the thought of FT (or anyone) circumventing the law by wrapping the batts in tin foil?

I mean there's a REASON for the law,,,,,

I'd just rather they be honest with us that batteries will take longer and be sent by the slow boat from china and let me decide if I want to wait for that slow boat or if I should order my stuff separate from batteries,,,,,,or if I should order batts here in the US and the rest of it from them,,,,

I'd not be able to handle the guilt if I thought my batteries wrapped in foil caused an airline explosion.

Yep. Me too. At the least, it makes them look even more guilty of violating regulations willingly. Not to mention possibly putting lives in danger. Thats why the regulations are there in the first place, for safety. I, like you, would like to see them ship the "contraband" the right way. Then I can decide if I want it.

Makes me wonder if we should trust them with other things. After all , do we really know whats in those bottles? I mean the Liqua brand comes shrink wrapped and what "appears" to be an authentic seal....maybe, but the other brands...? I'm not trying to scare anyone, and I don't run a stateside store or anything. Just makes me wonder "if they would do that..........." . Just saying

That's could said about anything. Do you know if the person that just grilled your steak at a resturant didn't drop it on the floor? Did they sneeze on it?

In high school ages ago, I packaged those little bottles of marichino cherries. I will never eat any as long as I live.

Has anyone gotten their stuff from FT that was caught up in the holdup period without any tracking listed beyond departing the HK facility?
(No movement on my TVS beyond HKP as of 9/28)

Yes, I got a package that was accepted on 08/29 and processed through HK on 09/05 - it was in my mailbox yesterday with no updates =] I expect good things, Girlie :p
