I just got my my first order from fastech "CRAP" I bought the 7 evod's for $21. Filled the first evod, the vape had a very strong machine oil taste. Since machine oil is recycled and I no idea of what heavy metals may have been machined before they machine my evod's. I consider them unsafe.

The order also had the 2-900 ma ego starter kit for like $22 I bought for my son. I fully charged the first 900 ma bat. took about 15 puffs and the light is now blue, indicating the charge is at 50%. Another POS.

Hmmm...I just ordered the 7 pack of evods. But mine were $18.15.
Did you try the other ones? Or just the one you deemed unsafe?

A lot of times, there's like a factory liquid in the tanks to "pre-coat" the wicks. That may be what it is? Not sure. I would, if you plan to use the others, rinse them out thoroughly before using. That may be where the taste is coming from.

Also, this is not commonly shared, but every battery comes with a "factory charge" that may last five minutes or five hours. To make the batteries last longer, you're supposed to use them until they die; then, charge them. Even if you do charge them right out of the box, as I've also heard suggested, the first time on the charger, the batteries need to be on the charger for at least six hours after they are charged, some website tutorials suggest eight hours.

My last order from Fastech was a 10,000 mah Battery pack that arrived DOA but only cost 10.00 so not worth the trouble for me to ship it back. Most people seem to have good results with their orders but just thought I'd add my experience.

My last two orders from Fastech were bad! I ordered a Vamo that never worked correctly so today I checked it with a Voltmeter and it won't go above 3.8 no matter where I set it. My last order was a 10,000 Mah power pack and it arrived DOA. I was too late figuring out what was wrong with the Vamo to do a return and the Battery pack was only 10.00 so not worth the trouble for me to ship it back. Most people seem to have good results with their orders but just thought I'd add my experience.

Most people seem to have good results with their orders but just thought I'd add my experience.

Sorry about the Vamo. I don't think you'll get an accurate reading on a Vamo with a voltmeter - because of the PWM. Needs a special meter. This is what reviewers found last year when trying to test PWM devices - they weren't getting proper readings.
Perhaps it is stuck on a set value tho.

Edit: Ah - see you have edited to say you didn't get the Vamo from Fasttech. Ok.

Since a Vamo uses PWM in its output the readings you get from a multimeter really cant be trusted. I don't doubt that you got a bad vamo as you don't really need a meter to tell. If you got the kit with the 18350's it could also be the crap battery's that are included.
