The article linked by 5cardstud is absolutely amazing for this cause. We need to bring as much attention to it as possible, IMO. I'll make it easy for you if you're feeling lazy.

Go here:

Regulations.gov

Copy and paste the contents of the article (below, with source link included) into the FDA comment and submit it. That's it. It'll take 30 seconds.

In regards to the FDA's proposal to regulate electronic cigarettes - please read this.

Source: International review of e-cig studies shows low risk, huge potential benefits | American Council on Science and Health (ACSH)

A new study published this week in the journal Addiction, authored by five experts well-known for their expertise in tobacco issues, seems to confirm what most of us in science-based public health already knew: e-cigarettes are much less harmful than cigarettes; they have far fewer and lower levels of toxicants, for the user/vaper and for bystanders; there is no valid evidence that they attract youngsters to nicotine use; they can help addicted smokers quit; and the dangers of over-regulation include stifling the vast benefits they may confer on addicted smokers trying to quit.

I wanted to share the comment I submitted and see what those of you who are more well-read on the subject think (yes, I'm an attorney, but no, I don't have any expertise in challenging regulatory agencies, and no, I have not read every bit of the regulations, or even most of them).

I edited it a bit to make it easier to read (I was a bit more verbose in my submission :rules:) :

These proposed rules are just a mess. Cheers to fighting the good fight :vapor:.

Well said! I think a first year law student could take this to court and win. It is terribly wide reaching under the guise of "tobacco", at this rate they could deem tomatoes as a tobacco product. That is just as rational as their proposed deeming of e-cig everything.

I sent my comments to the FDA yesterday. I think the reason we don't see much of them is not being able to post on this thread. I don't even know if this one will post or not.

I see you! :) For the new folks to the forum I think you need 5(?) posts before you can post outside the new folks section....???

Well done. And WELCOME!! :thumb:

Is it Time for a Big, Blinking Banner at the Top of Every ECF Page that Alerts Members that the FDA Comment Period is Ending?

One that provides All the Necessary Links and Encourages People to Spread the Word thru Other Sites / Social Networks? And Also Encourages People to Ask their Friends. Family and Co-Workers to submit a Comment.

We could Double our Comments if Every Person Just Got 1 Person to Make a Submission.

Think how many would could get if Every Person got 3 People to write a Comment?
