I guess I'll be flamed for this, but I am not opposed to regulation over e-liquids. And yes, I realize it means there will be taxes to pay for the regulation. But I also hope healthy standards for e-juice are thoughtfully enacted, which will make the liquids as safe as possible. Now do I think they should target flavors. Of course not. Do I think they should govern the batteries and mods we use to heat the liquids. Nope. But ensuring that what I do inhale in my lungs is consistent and safe isn't really such a bad thing.

Flame me if you must, but I'm just being honest.

No flames here. I totally agree with you on the Nicotine aspect- my comment was, "but the fact still remains....neither us nor them are certain of the long term effects of direct nicotine use,
which is kind of a concern." At the same time, we as the consumers control what and the amount of nicotine we choose to ingest. I do think that the ingredients used in the flavoring are already
FDA Certified. I also think that the labeling of E-Liquids should be looked into and properly regulated. i.e., the term "Organic flavorings" or "Organic E-Liquid" is not all that accurate of a term, and should not be labled as such. Once Nicotine or Propylene Glycol, is introduced to the mix, it ceases to be an Organic product. All regulations aren't a bad thing.

Do I think that all "E-Cigs/PV's, or E-Liquid" will be banned, .... no I do not. I do think that there will be regulations on the cheapy/un-safely made products. There are already regulations on online sales of PV's, batteries, nicotine products .... being shipped/sold to certain countries. I don't see imposing further regulations as a terrible thing. Now the Taxes we will probably endure .... no bueno! lol

Nothing like waiting until the last minute! My comment took a few initial drafts to complete. I'm quite happy with how it came out though.

They're back logged on reading these, so posting it at the last minute is just as good as posting it on the first day.

In other words, there's still time, folks. Make those fingers fly! Get your comments in NOW!!

    Disagree with a lot of what was said there.
    To start with:

    You see, those at the FDA are none smokers/vapors and have no perception that vaping your RDA on a mechanical PV is a different experience from vaping a cig-a-like. (nor do they care)
    Direct nicotine use (the patch) has been around for over 30 years now, so we know full well what the long term effects are.

    Really, no one at FDA smokes or vapes ...
    And what are the long term effects of vaping nicotine?

    Let's not get into a debate here, people. This is NOT the thread for it. I know we all have strong and differing ideas on these issues, but dividing amongst ourselves at the moment is a BAD idea. It's worse than a bad idea. It's EXACTLY what the pro-regulation lobby wants from us. Division, confusion, lack of organization. Instead of squabbling amongst ourselves now is the time to present a unified front. Our fellow vapers are NOT our enemy. Don't play into the hands of our ACTUAL enemy.

    Solidarity. Post your comments, whatever they may be. Don't fight the other commenters. You can do that later in some other thread.

    And what are the long term effects of vaping nicotine?

    From 2007 to 2014 world wide

    Vaping = 0 (ZERO) deaths
    Smoking = 35,000,000 (35 MILLION) deaths

    All of the above......unnecessary. Start a separate thread if you want to argue. This is all about us coming together as a community, like Surf said. Don't use up this thread for petty arguing. UNITY, PEOPLE, UNITY!!!!!!
