In light of the John Tesh rabble about hooking kids with ecig flavors, I wrote a blog entitled , The Flavor of Harm « At Psychological Gun Point (The Flavor of Harm). It's an offensive satire just to undermine the ridiculous claims because I'm not smart enough to provide a real intelligent rebuttal ;)

I wrote Reason magazine Chief Editor Jacob Sullum to see if they had published anything refuting the ecig flavor hysteria. He sent me a few links that aren't exactly about ecigs, but will help you prepare for what is likely to hit legislation as they become more popular.

That was awesome ChaosT! LOL

Yep, once I became an adult, anything that had flavor just turned me off big time! If i chew gum, i want it to taste like water! If I eat candy, it better taste like white rice! And don't get me started on that evil ice cream. If it doesn't have a tofu flair, I aint goin' near it!

hahahaha!! this made my night!! tofu , hahaha. Tofu is the pure absence of flavor :D oh my

woops....there goes flavored vodka. And it will now be illegal to put sugar in your coffee. Oh wait! Pushing massive doses of caffeine on kids is fine. Nevermind.

Have you ever seen that show Toddlers with Tiara's? IF not, DON'T! I made the mistake of watching it on a bored sunday afternoon and had to see some slovenly mother give her baby 'go go juice' which was a concoction of mountain dew and red bull to make her at optimal energy for her 'performance'.

Sometimes I wish it were legal to slug someone lol

And what about the other drug pushers who lure our children with sweet tastes and hook them on a habit that may last a lifetime? A few years ago an investigative reporter researching a piece for The Nation had the guts to put Starbucks on the spot about its practice of serving hefty doses of caffeine in frothy, dessert-like concoctions available in a variety of tempting flavors. "We don't market to teenagers," a corporate flack insisted, right before admitting that "anyone is welcome in our stores."

Those white chocolate and salted caramel mochas that I always get from starbucks were really meant as baby formula, you see.. .I feel like such an idiot for not checkin' the recommended age on the side of the cup :(

Funny how no accountability is placed on the parent? UGH makes me nuts. It shouldn't matter what is sold in stores, a parent should have the final say on what a kid is eating or drinking. A bunch of lazy parents is what the issue is really about. Don't get me started. LOLOLOL I've been known to go on a rant.

Yeah, I don't usually see toddlers lined up at McDonalds to buy happy meals with no parental supervision. Look on the bright side.. in a few years, kids and teenagers will have control over everything at the rate we're going now. At least then they can repeal all the bans they don't like. Ochlocracy, mob rule by teenagers on cell phones and four loko. I love it !

Just one more sugary ban away from a massive teeange upheaval

It sickens me these people make these stupid laws. Mike Judge's Idiocracy movie was so dead on, about what this nation is headed for. You mean to tell me, a tax paying working class citizen. I can't have flavor in my smoke? Yet welfare recipients can take my tax dollars and feed their child a bigmac on me? This country is doomed!

Good stuff chaos I enjoyed it.

It doesn't take a Philadelphia lawyer to see that this gateway drug card is an absurdity. I mean, I actually really feel for these companies that have to deal with this nonsense just to make me happy as a consumer. It's the Baskin Robins philosophy-- PEOPLE like a plethora of choices. If you don't have options and choices, nobody is going to buy from you.

Life expectancy is around 76 years old last I checked. You're only actually, biologically, a child for a small percentage of your life assuming you live a full life. Do these people really think that if they remove all options and hide children from facts enough that some day they'll grow up to be an adult and NOT KNOW something is missing from life?

that's a suffocating reality these folks live in .
