Do you want an rba?

I received a sweet rba as a gift (actually I won it just by being goofy) and would like to use it, the materials and the knowledge I have gained here from fellow REOnauts to help someone who is hesitant to make the jump into RBAs because they think it is too complicated for them.

This rba deserves to be used every day by someone who will appreciate it as much as I appreciate mine.

This RBA is in decent 2nd hand condition. I'm gonna coil it with a Micro Coil and wick it with rolled cotton. I hear that setup kicks ....

I'm also going to include an extra micro coil, a few feet of Kanthal and enough rolled cotton to last for many months.

This is going to be sent free to a REO user in the US. It will take approximately a week to ship because this baby is being outfitted with new screws just for you, thanks to a very kind REOnaut :)

Why? Because I am 8 months smoke free and would like to help you, yes YOU the REO user who is intimidated by the process so you can see how simple it is.

I know I was intimidated before I tried it. Now I would NEVER go back to anything else.

I only have one, so just post here that you fit the description. Oh and you need to have either a grand, vv grand, 2.1 (or all of em :) )

All I ask in return is that you use the knowledge you gain from this set up to help someone else. And to pay it forward in the future.

Russ

Very nice my friend :)

Thanks Rob. I am admiring this RBA - I think it's a fine piece of gear, with common sense, and proper care it should last years. Nice work sir. You would have to be a hamfist to damage it? Can't wait to see the Rob-B-A 2.0.

And.... While this Gentleman was putting together this free offer for some lucky REOnaut, he was simultaniusly helping me set up my new RBA on the "RBA's for Dummies" thread I started some days ago. Super X really is knowledgable in these matters and I'm sure whoever recieves this fine gift will also get all the good advice neede to get it cooking right!

I may have painted myself into a bit of a corner, I built the coil and when I went to loosen the screws to install it, I found that they are stripped :( :( . I'm bummed :(.

I could probably make it work but I don't want the new RBA'er to be presented with any unneccessary challenges. I don't have any similar screws around the house, but I will head to home cheapo tomorrow to try to score some. If I can't come up with anything by Monday, I will order some from Rob.

I apologize, please bear with me ...We'll get ya up and runnin. 01.jpg

In my normal clumsiness I unscrewed to far on my reomizor whiched ended up somewhere in the rug and just wrapped a small portion of the wire around the post. Its working as good as if the screw was there holding it in place. Nice thing your doing. I'd never would have even tried a RBA if not for a generous REOnaut. :)

Super sweet Kay!!! That would be awesome!

That will help greatly in speeding up the delivery to a soon to be RBAer. I'll adjust the delivery date in my OP to allow processing and shipping time. Thank you Kay!

hey NanaKay do you have screws for the A7 ?

I don't know if the screws i have will fit the A7's , Scoot, they do fit the ERA and the Hornet. Since I no longer have any A7's i can't check it out. If they're the hex screws they should fit. Let me know if you want any.
