if big tobacco gets its way eventually we'll be left w/ one form factor - rechargeable batt - and will be able to go to the store and buy prefilled cartridges for it just the same as we buy packs of cigarettes now. this whole scene will dwindle away due to regulations and bans and we'll be left w/ whatever big tobacco wants to offer us.

Taxes will increase the overall cost but I think disposables are the future. If you can buy one that lasts a day or so and it is half the cost of a pack of cigarettes then the majority of people quitting smoking and going to vaping will choose the easy way.

2 Pack a day smoker for over 10 years
3 Years vaping
Mostly Disposables with E-Liquid from beyondecigs
I would go back to smoking.

Here's my question on the "taxation comparable to cigarettes" thing: Say a pack of cigarettes, roughly $5.75 here in Ohio, has $3.00 of tax built into it. So, that means the single pack equivalent of juice would also have $3.00 tax levied on it. Now there's some insane vendors out there claiming 10ml of juice is equal to 15 packs of cigarettes. So a 10 ml bottle, which is now ~$6 would have an additional $30 of tax? That's $36. For 10ml. It sounds to me like some of these vendors need to back off these claims before they're used against us.

Well, they are somewhere near the money :)

Your projected maths scenario is not though

Like I posted in another thread (roughly): pack of cig rated at 18mg per cigs means you need to vape 1ml of 18mg/ml to equal 1 cig or vape 20ml of 18mg/ml in a day to equal your 1 pack/day habit (pack of 20 x 18mg cigs)

So, a 30ml bottle of 18mg/ml is roughly equal to 1.5 pack, but you vape that in a week or 2 :) (I sure dont vape 30ml/week!)

their 10ml claim is more like half a pack of cigs though.
