I've been looking and reading and then looking and reading some more.
Now I think I may have enough information to ask a question.

About me:
1 pack a day of Virginia Slims Superslims for several years, just as a point of reference for what I consume currently.

I'm looking at the Go-Go for my kit.
I keep reading lots of post and for the most part everyone seems to start with a kit and keeps moving on and I'd rather get something that I can stick with.
I'd really like to just get something that replaces my smokes.
I don't like the idea of replacing batteries every few hours or having to put another cart on to keep vaping.

The Go-Go has 1300 mah battery capacity and 3mL liquid cartomizer.
Sounds like the way for me to go if I want to side step the issues that I've expressed that I don't care for when it comes to vaping.

The upgrades for most that I've read about are the same reasons. Short battery life and carts running out to quickly.

I asked other people about this in the live chat and most thought it wasn't a good way for me to start.
No one could give a valid reason for their thoughts other than the Go-Go uses proprietary parts.
I have found that there are adapters that can remedy those issues.

Also does anyone have feed back on the two(2) locations which currently carry The Go-Go.
nhaler.com and cigeasy.com.

Any feed back would be great.
Thank you

It's gotten excellent reviews. I love the fact that it has a huge battery and huge cart.

The only things that makes me hesitate is - I'm already pretty invested in 510 apparatus. Only two (so far) vendors sell the pv and the supplies. They're both great vendors, but if they're both out of carts for example, it could be a problem.

My sister is almost there with trying a pv. If she does I might give/sell her my ego and try the Go-Go. Sounds pretty good.

This is a tough one. It's likely well known that I very much enjoy the GoGo, very much for the reasons you stated. If 8-9 months ago someone would have told me to go buy a KR-808, then go buy an eGo, then tire of fiddling the small carts, then go buy eGo Mega atomizer (atty) and deal with blue foam mod to get it right, then get Low resistance Mega, then get the eGo-T (tank) to hopefully be finally set (not)...I might have skipped the whole thing. I actually did like the eGo-T fairly well, but the minor issues that remained, AFTER all of the other expense and experimentation, frustrated me. IF I would have gotten a GoGo first, I am pretty sure I would still be chugging along with it, unless sheer curiosity about what others where saying got to me. You could say that satisfied ignorance truly is bliss.

The ONLY reason I would want you to seriously consider NOT getting the GoGo would be financial. The price is very reasonable IMHO, but if you are somehow dissatisfied you would probably be stuck with it.

I say go for it - I really love mine. Consistent, long lasting vape, no leaks, durable. That's my $0.02. Hope it helps.

The only thing I don't like about the ego is topping of carts. That's not even a dislike really but I'd prefer not to have to do it so often and I could live with that. Since the Go-Go offers a cart that holds 3 ml of juice, it sounds pretty great. If everything else is equal to the ego such as performance, TH, etc. etc. I've just spent enough, too much actually to try the Go Go at this point.

My concern is if it's your first PV then it's your only PV. Does it come with a 510 adapter or are you dependent on Gogo parts? What happens if the couple of vendors run out of parts (like if FDA blocks China shipments again or Chinese New Year etc shuts down shipping for a month). I think someone's only PV should have easily available parts and supplies.

les017 thanks for the feed back. As for the price that was a primary concern for making the Go-Go as my choice.
When you add up the cost and the other item that I was considering was the greencig which starts at $118.00 the Go-Go looks even better.
Then when I take into account your path that you took and how many other people have taken that same path it leads me right back to the same decision.

Swedishfish thanks for the feed back,
I took the time to contact SSV2 who is customer support for cigeasy.com and he stated:
"The Revised Edition Go-Go kits sold faster than we could have ever anticipated!".
They are in the process of stocking up and that type of feedback tells me this is very possibly a product that will go well.
I'm sure they will work at keeping things in stock. I also did a search for the items and found that the batteries can be purchased directly from China so I would think that one could get the other items as well.

les017 just out of curiosity can you give me a ball park figure of what your path has cost.
I don't think and I could be wrong but, I don't think that people really keep track of what they are spending on this path.
So, again just a ball park figure on what you've spent on kits, mods and batteries to get to the Go-Go.

Honestly I am not so sure but I will try. Problem is that a lot of my additional expense came from stocking up on things every time I thought I had it nailed (mega attys, 306 and drip tips, batteries, etc)

Initial 808 kit and extra cartos, initial eGo kit, 510 attys, 510 LR attys, 306 attys, 306 LR attys, drip tips, eGo Mega cyclinder attys, eGo LR cylinder attys, eGo tanks attys, extra eGo batteries - probably around $600-$700 or so. I could be way off, it might be as low as $400-500. Also could be as high as $1000, but I doubt it. Keep in mind I did stock up on some things. Not crazy quantities but I never bought just 1 or 2 of anything and I still HAVE virtually all of this stuff...except for 1 eGo battery that died and the various assortment of attys that have died. Truth is I probably have enough 510 and 808 hardware to finish out this year, for sure, without any real worry.

GoGo for the same time period, assuming cartos last the way I have seen, and NO additional batteries would likely be something like $60 for the initial kit + $192 for cartos (assuming using and tossing 2 cartos/week for 8 months at $3/carto). And my experience so far does not suggest that you would need 2 cartos per week, but this leaves a little fudge factor in there.

Again, this was just a swag. I don't have the heart to actually go and add it up.

Dormouse makes a GREAT point about parts availability for your ONLY PV. I guess all you could do is to spend a week with GoGo and if you like it go back and order 20-30 cartos...like I did.

I'd also like to tell you that a GoGo is a great choice. As others have said, the parts might be hard to come by if unforseen circumstances arise (with only 2 places currently selling them, maybe one could run out while the other for whatever reason is shut down for a while, things like that). I just got mine yesterday and I'm loving it so far. I really do think that it won't be long before other vendors start carrying parts for it, it seems to be getting more popular. No problems for me so far, but I've only had it a day. I'd say go for it if you're comfortable with the idea of only 2 places having parts right now.

I thank you for your efforts as I was only asking for a ballpark figure.
I don't disagree with the suggestions that Dormouse makes, but given the reviews and plus to The Go-Go I really don't think I'd be taking that big a risk.

Considering what I was doing before this is a rather inexpensive experiment for me.
When I decided to cut down about 10 years ago I went from 3 packs of 100's a day to 1 pack a day.
I switch to menthol because I hated them and it worked. I was able to stay at a pack a day because I pretty much just smoke for the fix.
And when I started going up in my consumption I switched to what I'm smoking now.
I'm not big on the flavor just getting the fix.
Should I run into an issue where I can't get parts to vape it's not that big a deal to me as I would just grab a pack and wait it out until I could start vaping again.

In a perfect world one could just buy what they wanted and be done with it, but we know that world doesn't exist. So, the best I can do is make an informed decision based on my research and observations.

Thanks to all who have given me advise.
Please keep the remarks coming this has been very informative.

One thing I would like to point out, is that the OP is smoking Virginia slim superslims. I'm thinking that this may be overkill for him/her. Have you tried an ecig before? Vapor is pretty much the same no matter where it comes from, but I would hate for someones first drag to be off a 1.5 ohm 6v drip tip, you know what i mean?

If you've never tried a vape before, buy a cheap disposable. There are even some that will send them out for free. Then take into consideration that your 3mil mega cig is probably 2-5 times harsher. More vape, bigger plumes, hotter juice, reckless throathits, etc do not necessarily make for a better vaping experience. That's why I would not suggest this mod.

Another suggestion is to pick up a passthrough. 20 bucks plus some prefill carts will give you a broader spectrum of what you're dealing with. I've found that it's not so much the system that limits me, but the flavor and juice that i'm vaping. With the Go-Go, you're going to be investing a lot more into your juices. They're going to leave flavor traces in your tank and on your atty, which is going to be hard to get out. So you'll need backup attys and tanks for your different flavor types. You'd probably also want a backup driptip system for these anyway, so you can test you new flavors, let people try it out, etc. It's just handy to have a couple.

The 510 with a drip tip is a solid system. Starting with a standard will give you a feel for how much vape you need off each puff. And upgrades aren't that expensive. The cisco and LR are bot about 10 bucks. If you decide you like the 510, you can then move off the passthrough to a battery system like the slims or the eGo.

And like everyone says, proprietary is hard to find, and generally more expensive, plus often supply is an issue. In the end, the better your first vape experience, the more likely you will stick with it. My mom and grandma have been analogue free for a year and a half now, 100 years of smoking between the two of them. They cut the chain on the kr808 and never looked back. And they were both vslim/benson hedges/misty smokers. Pretty much the same thing you were smoking. So having the best strongest system you can find on the forums may not really be for you.

Frankly I don't see why so many people are looking at the vgo and go go and all of that other stuff when the ego is so reasonably priced and awesome. I recommend the ego to anyone who wants an inexpensive, reliable, long lasting PV. Ego is compatible with all 510 attys, cartos, cartridges and LR products. Ego has a passthrough plug and go battery, and in addition to the 510 stuff there is a line of proprietary ego stuff like the ego attys, ego cartos (which I do NOT recommend), ego-t system etc etc.

There's no problem with the other PV's but I absolutely hate products that are 100% proprietary. Google ego or 510 accessories and you're list will go on forever, google go-go products and that list will be much shorter.

I would agree that the relatively expensive, proprietary cartomizers are a deal-killer for me. I am a Cigeasy customer and love my Elegant Easy (Fat battery 808/901). Their service is great. From what I have read here, Nhaler is excellent as well.

I would keep my my experience as flexible as possible with a 808/901 or the 510 compatible units most folks have. You know you will always be able to find pieces and parts for your PV and could also drip or use a PT. Unless they have some sort of adapter that allows use of other cartomizers or attys, you are limiting your options. You can get XL cartomizers and larger-capacity batteries for either variety of PV that will reduce refill and recharge frequency.

Cheers,

Otto

DataPhreak and Secti0n31 both make valid points, and I would not argue for or against in either case. Especially about whether Doc has ever even tried vaping at all. There's no way to encapsulate this for anyone in a few paragraphs. Very subjective ... Believe me, I'm just trying to help, NO promotion going on here. But the GoGo has totally replaced the eGo for me, even though I liked the eGo in many ways.

The vape of the GoGo is very similar to a very good working eGo with LR Mega atty/cart, so it's not a high voltage killer. Secti0n31 - the reason I went GoGo is because the eGo, although a great unit which is quite capable and enjoyable, just took more minor work and adjustment than I was happy dealing with. Carts are carts with their inconsistency (in my experience) and the tank system was pretty cool but still has it's issues. Out of all of my experience with the eGo, if I could virtually be sure that I wouldn't have random juice on my hands/clothes/pockets, I'd probably still be using it.

Proprietary nature of the GoGo does not bother me, but I would also like to see a filler-less cart or some advancements in tech. But having said that, I guess that would put me back on the treadmill, although this time it would be purely by choice, not by perceived need.

I love my Go-Go! I wish I would have found it when I first started vaping. I could have saved myself alot of money on other ecigs that aren't as good as the Go-Go. Well, I thought they were good until I tried the Go-Go. :) It's simple to use and the juice/battery lasts all day long. Also, the juice tastes so much better on these cartos. Juices that I thought I hated taste delicious on this Go-Go.
