I hadnt heard about the Go Go until now. I smoked about a pack a day and find that 1.2 ml that I get with the Ego T is more than enough also the battry lasts all day. So could the Go Go be overkill?

Yeah, I think the GoGo would probably be overkill for you, based on your usage pattern. Since the battery and liquid are lasting so well, no need to move to a bigger battery or higher capacity tanks.

Are you satisfied with the flavor you get from your Ego T? I couldn't get any flavor from my tank. The Go Go gives much better flavor, in my experience. :) But if you are satisfied with what you have already, you should just stay with it. I switch flavors on my Go-Go all the time so if you don't use the juice in the carto up in one day, you can just pop it back on the next day. :)

One question for ya doc....do you care if your pv looks like a real cig? If you want that look and feel, I would suggest you start with an 808 or 510 model. They are both fine units, and there are a ton of vendors that sell compatable accessories for them.
The ego, and the Gogo are bigger batteries...more like a cigar size, and they both are good as well. I started with the 808 style, moved up to the ego tank for more battery life, and also bought a Gogo kit recently...I like all of them....if I had known then what I know now, I might have skipped the 808 phase, but you can't really go wrong with any of these choices....

I know that probably doesn't help a lot, but, just my history...
Anyway, good luck to you, whatever you choose. The important thing is that you get off the cigs....
Welcome to vapeville.

Welcome to vapeville.

Well, to tell you the truth your input is very helpful. I'm basically going with the same mind set you have when you say, "if I had known then what I know now, I might have skipped the 808 phase.".

As for the size it's a moot point for me as I just want something that works. Something that I won't have to be looking for the next thing to take it to a level where I'm happy.
I basically want no muss, no fuss.
I'm going off of all the post of people who really like the Go-Go and post from people who started out with one kit only to go to this mod then that mod and finally wind up with a Go-Go.
So, my perspective is lets get right to the chase.

Thank you for your input.

Well if you do decide on the Gogo, we purchased from cigeasy. They included a sample bottle of juice, and 1 pre filled carto with our kit. The other cartos that come with the kit are empty, so be aware that you'll need some liquid right away.
Also read the thread in general discussions about the issues with charger...it's not a big deal, but you should read it over, in case you need to sand down the plastic housing a little to get a charger connection. Supposedly they are fixing it, so maybe you won't have any issues. Other than the charger hiccup, most everyone seems to really like their gogos....
Happy vaping to you. Let us know how you're doing.

I don't have a go-go (currently have a kr8) and have been seriously looking at getting one. The only drawback I can possibly see, and perhaps this can be confirmed by those here that already have one, is that the cartos are much bigger (obviously) and have a much larger diameter than any of it's competitors and as such, it may feel a bit strange?! I would love to see a whistle tip that could be added to the end of the go-go carto - might make it a little less intimidating for newbies.

Cactus, read thru this post on the Gogo. Someone did just what you are saying...took a regular cigar wooden tip and adapted it to the end of a carto.
My wife also did this using the flat tip, hard plastic cap that comes on the end of an ego t atomizer, so yes, it can be done for sure.

Oops sorry...wrong thread link. The cigar tip mod is mentioned here...

Well, I just got The Go-Go today and I've been vaping for just under 6 1/2 hours with no desire to have a hit of tobacco.
That first hit was a doozy! I had to adjust the way that I hit the Go-Go. Once I found how to hit it for me, it has been very nice. I was wondering why the big wow factor over the flavors and I just got a plain mint to start with and it's so odd as it tastes like mint cotton candy. I was blown away, yep flavors BIG DEAL. Now I know.
The oddest thing about this is that the throat hit is a bit harsh, not as smooth to me as tobacco, but I'm sure I'll get used to that also.
So, all in all this is turning out to be a very positive experience for me.
I'd like to thank everyone who responded and gave me their thoughts / feelings on my question.
I was really hoping to be able to blow smoke rings, but oh well I never could do it with tobacco either '-)

Honestly I am not so sure but I will try. Problem is that a lot of my additional expense came from stocking up on things every time I thought I had it nailed (mega attys, 306 and drip tips, batteries, etc)

Initial 808 kit and extra cartos, initial eGo kit, 510 attys, 510 LR attys, 306 attys, 306 LR attys, drip tips, eGo Mega cyclinder attys, eGo LR cylinder attys, eGo tanks attys, extra eGo batteries - probably around $600-$700 or so. I could be way off, it might be as low as $400-500. Also could be as high as $1000, but I doubt it. Keep in mind I did stock up on some things. Not crazy quantities but I never bought just 1 or 2 of anything and I still HAVE virtually all of this stuff...except for 1 eGo battery that died and the various assortment of attys that have died. Truth is I probably have enough 510 and 808 hardware to finish out this year, for sure, without any real worry.

GoGo for the same time period, assuming cartos last the way I have seen, and NO additional batteries would likely be something like $60 for the initial kit + $192 for cartos (assuming using and tossing 2 cartos/week for 8 months at $3/carto). And my experience so far does not suggest that you would need 2 cartos per week, but this leaves a little fudge factor in there.

Again, this was just a swag. I don't have the heart to actually go and add it up.

Dormouse makes a GREAT point about parts availability for your ONLY PV. I guess all you could do is to spend a week with GoGo and if you like it go back and order 20-30 cartos...like I did.

I was worried about the parts thing also but I found where you can buy direct from China (Kits, Batteries and carts) http://www.cn-cigarette.com/search.asp?action=search&hw_name=Gogo&price1=0&price2=1000000000&pagec=25&order=&lookt=image I have never used them and ordered mine from CigEasy but at least it's there...

les and I had this discussion in another thread. I haven't tried the go-go. However, I don't think it's a good choice for a newbie unless they got that 901 adapter I've heard they are working on. AFAIK there's only one thing you can put on a go-go and that's a great big go-go cartomizer. That thing takes a lot of juice and someone new at this is going to make mistakes with both flavors and nic levels. They need to be able to vape smaller amounts starting out just to find what they like. You can't really do that with a go-go.

ARGH it's you again :p <just kidding> :p

Just to dissect MickeyRat's very valid point...if found that for the sacrifice of one GoGo cartomizer you can have a juice testing dripper. Just pull out the filler and drip a few drops of your test juices down into the empty carto. When you want to try another juice it rinses out very well with warm water, and I have even gone so far as to do a dry burn (with filler removed) to ungunk a carto that had seen 10 refills of a dark, stanky, syrupy juice.

Matter of fact, if you save the filler you can easily reinsert it later to get you full-function carto back, since these have a horizontal coil in the bottom.

Well, today make exactly 2 weeks of not smoking.
I have to say I'm very happy with the Go-Go. From the moment I tried it, it felt very good.
I have since found that there is an adapter for the Go-Go that will accept the KR808D-1 Cartomizers.
I have also since discovered the CE2 carts which have an attraction for me as I can see how much liquid is in them.

So, all in all it's been very good.
Now, if I can just stop reaching for my lighter I'll be good to go.

Congratulations, DocRocz, on your 2 week anniversary! And glad you like the Go-Go, I hope it continues to perform well for you, day in and day out (as mine has done). Its a nice solid, no hassle PV, even the occasional cleaning of the cartos is quick and simple (remove the filler and rinse in hot water, squeeze dry, air dry for an hour, reinsert and go)

You were wise to look for advice before buying, kudos on making a good choice for your needs :)

Great choice Doc, I just traded 6 ego batteries including ego-t several mega attys all for another Go-Go Kit to go with my other two kits, So I'm set for a year no matter what happens. I've been using mine for a month and I have yet to kill a carto. They just continue to hit the same day after day. It took me 17 months and a lot of dollars to find an all day PV that is a no fuss load and Go for the day without worrying if I have enough juice, will my battery last and what if my atty dies. You learned by researching and listening kudos to you!:2cool:

With that said use caution on the ce2's do the same research you did with the Go-Go.

Eplates, welcome! I'd guess your battery is under warranty, but have you tried rotating the button? Some of the batteries have a minor switch problem where rotating it slightly until it "clicks" helps. I've also seen where running them down until they "flash", then recharging can "reset" the battery.

If those don't work, head over to the go-go thread at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...3-go-go-specific-thread-all-things-go-go.html I'm sure someone over there can help you get it going again.

Docrocz, do jump over to that same thread and let us know how the CE2's work for you.

DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS!
i love the GO GO and have been vaping since 2008. best PV ever. easy, headache free, quality product with long lasting battery and carts. i will FINALLY save money because i dont use as much juice with the GO GO as i did with the eGo. and i love not having to worry about rotating and recharging batteries, filling cartridges.......so easy. no muted flavor like eGo tanks have. full flavor and big vapor. PERFECTION! i could vape forever happily with my GO GO and Tasty Vapor Atomic Cinnacide.

I now have to revise my comment. Cigeasy now has a go-go to 808 adapter. So, you can now use 808 cartos and a 901 atomizer on a go-go. So, if you're new and you think the go-go might be for you, get the go-go, the adapter, some blank 808 cartos, a couple 901 atomizers and a drip tip. Use the 901 atomizer and drip tip to sample juices for flavor. Then put the juice in an 808 cartomizer and vape that for a few hours. That'll give you a chance to evaluate whether the nic level is working for you. Once you are satisifed you've found something you can live with all day, then it's time to fill one of those monster go-go cartos.

There are cheaper ways to get started but, using a go-go this way, will save you some trouble in the beginning.

There ya go Les!!! :)
