I'm a bit perplexed. Now while I haven't been vaping a long time ~3&1/2 months, I have in that time gone from primarily a Kanger PT3 mini on a Spinner 2 to a Mutation X on an IPV3 and a Stllare on a Manhattan Mech, and I've read so so much (i'm a voracious reader at over 350 wpm) here and elsewhere, that knowledge wise, I'm far from a noob.

Anyhow, early on, I learned I can't handle too much PG, and I never vape anything higher than 50/50, usually 100% VG, and a few 30PG/70VG. Yet, I have never had any issues with my coils, on anything getting gunked up. No problems with my juice being too thick, or any similar complaint I see so much discussed on here. I had my PT3 mini for over a month before I changed the head on it, and the only reason I did that was because I knocked it over and as I suspected, broke one of the coils (took it apart and found out). I only changed the head on my Aero mini once, and that was only because I got a disgusting flavor in it, that wouldn't go away. I have never changed the coils in my Kayfun, re wicked 4 or 5 times, but no rebuilding. Now while I have rebuilt all of my drippers several times (except the Veritas, that one is a bugger), I only did so to learn the technique, not because I had too.

In every case, no real gunking. No diminishing of flavor, no loss of vapor production.

So what gives? Am I secretly (unbeknownst to me) a God of Clean Coils? Am I the avatar of Worry Free VG? Am I insane and completely imagining my reality while locked in a Psych ward in a straight jacket sucking on a cockroach just thinking I'm vaping?

What the Heck is everyone talking about?

tl;dr : why doesn't my stuff gunk up?

Are you using commercial, flavored juice and what are the flavors? If you make your own how much of what flavorings do you toss in them?

Also, I'm assuming you don't dry burn for a month at a time. Correct me if I got that wrong :)

OK, here's the breakdown:

1. Kanger PT3 mini on itaste vv : mister e-liquid - Casino 21 (a tobacco) 50/50 18mg nic at 11 watts
2. Kanger Aero mini on itaste vv : Vape Pgh Inc - Leucodermis (blue raspberry cotton candy) 40PG/60VG 6mg at 11 watts
3. Ecto T9 BDC on spinner 2 vv : Velvet Vapors - Vanilla Caramel Tobacco 50/50 18 mg at 4.3 volts
4. Kanger Aero Mega on a Vamo 3 : a made in store (Kommon Centz) custard PG/VG unknown 24 mg at 10 watts
5. Nautilus Mini on another Vamo 3 : Vape PGH Inc - Mazurek (raspberry/strawberry custard) 40 PG/60VG 9 mg at 10 watts
6. kayfun 3.1 on my IPV3 : Vaporchef - Apple Bourbon Tobacco Max VG 6mg at 18 watts
7. Stillare on a Manhattan : Vaporchef - Slartibartfast (cherry cavandish tobacco) max VG 6 mg
8. Veritas on Stingray X : Vaporchef - Frosty apple max VG 6 mg
9. Mutation X on my IPV2 : Maker Unknown* - Zuro's Milk (supposed to be a creamy custard with fresh strawberry, but tastes more like the milk left in the bowl after eating Apple Jacks) HIGHLY ADDICTIVE PG/VG unknown 6mg/3mg and 0mg at 22.2 watts

*- while I can't figure out who makes Zuro's milk, it is widely known around Pittsburgh and available in many Pgh vape shops.

Never dry burned any of the tanks (except the kayfun) but I do dry burn the drippers when rewicking or rebuilding. But anyhow, isn't it MORE of a tank system problem anyway?

I never really had issues with high VG (my preference). If you want GUNK, run 5ml or more of some Boba's Bounty. High VG, good flavor, but after 4ml or less I pull my wick and dry burn.

I don't really like Boba's Bounty. It doesn't induce vomiting like Mister E-liquid's Pluto, but why vape stuff that's Meh?

I would love to see a pic of that kfun coil you have never changed. Could be that what you say is fine others would say is incrusted.

Well, if i didn't just fill it, ... And I do dry burn it when I rewick it.

The thing is, whether they LOOK bad or not, I'm still getting almost the exact same vapor and flavor levels as when the coils were shiny and new.

From the list of juices you use, I'm pretty sure there are at least some 'gunky' ones in there (actually it seems like there are more than a few to me :)), so it's not that you vape clean juice all the time.

When I used to use clearos all the time I would dry burn every 5-10 ml of juice. If I didn't do that juice would lose flavor and start burning. Now, I like more rather than less vapor so I would typically dial in a clearo at just under the max power it would handle.

I've used eGo-C attys, CE4's, cartos, Vivi Novas, Genisis RTAs, various RDAs and they all gunk up regularly for me. My main vape these days is a Reo with a dual coil dripper at around 0.5 ohms. With my pretty gunky DIY juice I dry burn and rewick about every 8 ml. Occasionally I vape a cleaner juice and that lasts maybe 15 ml between cleanings.

Everyone has a different tolerance to gunk. Here's a pic of my Trident with coils gunked up to the point that I would have noticed a decline in performance and would have cleaned them soon:

If you could post a picture of a coil you consider just about ready to need a clean we could compare.

Typing speed can be measured. I guess reading speed will need tons more time to calculate than to read the said number of words...

Voltage/power/amps will be a factor in gunking up coils. Less volts = less amps = less power = less temperature. Also, short bursts will gunk coils up less as it kinda means the same... just an idea.

How does one measure reading speed, and is comprehension measurable?

Mine was measured by a study course I took at Seton Hill (not Hall) college. Basically, you read up until an elapsed period is up and then are quized on the content to point.

besides, my point in mentioning it wasn't to get a gold star, but illustrate I have read quite a deal, more than most in the time period I have been involved.
