Ok, I think the cost of replacing attys is very high and they certainly do not deliver as they should.

I came up with this: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/atomizer-mods/120072-atomizer-cartomizer-life.html

Suddenly the high cost of vaping for me has dramatically decreased. Well.... for the past 3 months now.... lol

Thanks, this is very interesing, did you get you nichrome wire locally? Now that I am only dripping and using an 18650 battery my 801 atomizers seem to last forever, but I would like to try build my own.

Hi Vaporista,

I think you've given a text book account of vaping with the current technology we have.

If I can share some tips to try and alleviate the frustrations.

1. Atties are designed to last 1 month. Its a coincidence if you manage to get any more life out of them than 1 month. A lot of people will tell you an Atty should last 3 months, this is not according to manufacturing specs. I'm not saying this is acceptable, but the devices are marketed as lasting longer than this.

2. Juice can be ordered and mixed from FlavorArt (HeavenJuice) for much cheaper than what you would pay from anywhere else, and it appears that it also tastes a whole lot better than Dekang.

3. I would seriously recommend guys who are serious about vaping to get a device such as a DSE905, Screwdriver or Provape, which allows you to keep the housing during a battery replacement. This dramatically lowers costs. It also means that with regular Li-ion batteries you'll also get a more robust charger, rather than the crappy USB chargers that ship with most e-cigs.

but basically its a matter of kak and betaal, and enjoy the health benefits, until the technology of vaping improves.

Hi Gavin,

I couldn't get the guage Nichrome I wanted locally so I ordered some more on e-bay. Got a 114.3m roll on it's way right now..... Should last a while.

I can remember my difficulties with customs the last couple of months before I left the land of milk, honey and domestic help. It was as though they issued a team of monkeys with automatic weapons. They were single brain cell organisms on a power trip. I started faking invoices and reduced the value each time I had to fax or email it to them again on principal.
