Thanks for putting it in your Signature, Cyclin! A couple others have done that and it really makes it easy! Even though the spreadsheet is getting too many posts on it, it's very helpful. I need to have some of you veterans comb through it and send me a PM with your suggestions on what needs to be deleted (so feel free to do that if anyone gets bored! LOL)

My Thanksgiving was fine, thanks for asking. I am officially sick of left overs. No more :( hehehe (well maybe pie is ok?)
Sick of left overs?? That happens?? I don't know if I told you, but the Wednesday day before Thanksgiving I made a 15.5 lb turkey JUST so I'd have more leftovers. Almost out and we still have another frozen bird (we accrue free turkeys around this time of year) so I'll be making another turkey this week lol. I love the food so much I make a full on Thanksgiving dinner multiple times a year  Other than that I don't cook at all. Once I met my wife I don't even go near the kitchen

you know the other screw will give more vapor :)
I did not know that, I knew it opened the draw a bit but didn't put that together lol. I have just been leaving my Trippy Tips with just the top of the upper o-ring exposed, so it gets good airflow. I will have to try the other screw this evening :)

Dang. Added to cart, but it was gone when I went to pay. Maybe I'm not a HR? :(
 for a second there I thought all the HR's went up when I read this lol

It was my lip, I tried to vape it without the top cap on.. I wouldn't suggest it!
Haha well at least I got who it was right lol. I have come soooo close to taking a toot without the top cap on a couple times  I don't envy you that experience lol

Spingfield...I'm embarrassed to admit I do not have a meter. But, by gawd, I will have one before the day is over! This is ridiculous. I'm going to clean it and re-wrap the coil gang. I don't know what else to do at this point. I only one battery left....jeeze, what a buffoon I am! I'll back later to let you guys know what's up.

Thanks :)
I'd get a couple more batteries to replace the one that fried. And as much as I hate to say toss that old battery out. It sucks getting rid of $8-10 batteries but safety is so much more important. Even if you just burned your hand or something the price of Advil is more than a battery I think, I dunno, maybe I'm a battery snob but we can't have our LadyStrick getting hurt ya know!

Agreed, BUT, assuming the batteries are being put in the proper direction (which she confirmed), the switch really shouldn't be the problem. Its job is to close the circuit and with the battery inserted properly, it can potentially cause a weak connection, but not what sounds like a dead short...

Here's what I would try, personally, and carefully.

Remove the wick and coil completely, insert the battery, and fire the switch. If the battery starts to get warm, there's a dead short in the device itself (possibly something wrong with the positive post insulator, etc)... If that's the case, it needs to go back to Ego.

Yea this is kind of what I discussed with her...an insulator crushed under the positive post. Or even the outside chance the positive brass screw for the post has broken or something and is somehow contacting the body of the device. That's really unlikely and I've not take that piece apart so I don't know if the screw going up the positive post is isolated(it isn't in DID etc) as the two isolators on either end keep it from contacting the post it passes through.

The switch issue was an aside as having to press it with two hands is not normal operation.

She has a really bad short somewhere...one that's caving her batteries instantly and melting the plastic right off. I'm not sure putting it to your head is the best idea lol.

I just talked to her she's going to put some pictures up when she gets back home. She says she feels some resistance in the switch like it's jamming. Could be something in there as well.

The switch feels like its jamming because it has a bad short, the switch is sticking to the battery due to the short, which in turn is heating up and melting the plastic around battery. The problem is going to be the top post. The top post on top of atty shouldnt be in contact with any metal, it sits on a non conductive material under it so it doesnt touch the base. Either the top post is touching the atty somehow or the negative screw is touching the top post. Have you dropped it or bent it anyway? Have you tried taking it apart by chance? Quit melting batteries and send it to me lol. What juices do you use lady? I promise the problem is the top post touching the base or the ground screw causing a short. Thats all it can be :)
