yea, we need at least 1/32 or more for shock, but anything small may work, as long as there is a buffer
Why not use cork? I think that would work perfect.. Make a ring of cork 1-2mm thick and I think it'd be perfect and extremely cheap.

Cool well gasket material is really cheap. Do you guys think I should get intake material or cork? I dunno how exhaust material would fare.yea, we need at least 1/32 or more for shock, but anything small may work, as long as there is a buffer

It's ok! Some people just aren't as computer savvy as others. That's why Apple is rich!LOL I'm joking! Really though, most iphone users couldn't jailbreak their phone if their life depended on it! I can't count how many of my "friends" have asked me to do it for them after they found out I had jailbroke mine.
I owned an IPod 4 before my Galaxy s3 and I smashed it with a hammer. I found out the "friend" who I bought it from (for $30.00) stole it and I couldn't afford a receiving stolen porperty charge along with more lawyer/court fees! It was fun though. Funny thing is, it took 3-4 hard hits until I used the back side of the ball pein hammer. It broke easy after that and I had fun tearing it apart!
That's what I'm leaning towards. I'm thinking go with Eric's 1/32" suggestion, in cork gasket material, then just cut it out with the "frikkin' lazzeerr beams" so it's exactly the right sizeWhy not use cork? I may just order an assortment pack off eBay and try a few different ones.
that might work out well, i'm still thinking rubber or lead
You're so lucky!! I'm jealous lol ( And I coulda sworn Janice was dead...)hi guys had to go to joplin today so haven't been home most the day, thanks Cyclin, wow!
While I agree that would be a perfect material, 1/8" is too thick. The thing is we need it thin enough so the top cap won't protrude too far and become more wobbly..About the material to absorb shock, is 1/8th inch too thick? I think these would be perfect:
Dooks Shock Pads - 1/8" - Dooks Skateboards Riser Pads - Warehouse Skateboards Skate Shop
If 1/8th in will work I don't think we can find anything better than these. I think I have some of these exact ones in the link left over from my skateboarding days. When I get home I'll see if I can find them and make a spacer/shock absorber!
