Hmm. I was reading the reference links and it said on there "Use IMR AW batts with no nipple".. on line 113

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AmYrSL_FJC4NdHZUb0xvVzRrNi1Qb2NCQ0dUUVdZUmc#gid=1

I do have aw imr, that's all I use.

Ok so reading Faceless' post, he says " If you only use AW brand with nipples you can file the nylon piece on the battery switch down and custom size it"

I plan on using a kick so I may have to do this, but don't want to mess anything up. I'm new to iHybrid by the way, just learning about it and the parts. Haven't even tried to put batteries in yet, again, don't want to mess anything up.

This is weird, every AW IMR battery I own has nipples. I had not realized AW made IMR batteries without nipples. The only flat tops I have are a couple efest, and some no name junk. I have 18650s in 2000mah and a .... ton load of 18350s. Am I to expect problems with them and my HR when I get it? Man I hope not. I do not wish to mod my PV... I have had enough of that with another hybrid I own.

so I tried a few coils with 32 & couldn't get it hot enough to my liking. did a twisted 32 & it's a little too hot, tho working nicely now. I'm interested in running this iHy in 18350 primarily, because I'm not at home a lot, but the twisted 32 drains the 18350 fast & could be dangerous I hear. am thinking I should order some 30 awg wire.

I used twisted 32 and 18350's. I guess I should have known it drains the battery faster. The only other wire I have is 28g. Should I just leave my 1.3 ohm twisted coil? Or switch to 28 or get 30?

It's not too hot for me, but my batteries do seem to get to 3.6 pretty fast. I thought that was ordinary for these little guys? I probably use 3 a day.

Twisted 32 will come out reasonably close to straight 30 from a resistance perspective...

Bigger question is how many coils are you running, or even better, if you have a multimeter (if you don't, go get one, even a cheap one), how many ohms is the coil showing?

General note since this doesn't get said much, and its a good reminder. When metering coils, check the resistance of your leads first by touching them. If you get a reading, that needs to be subtracted from your coil reading...

watts are watts. dont see a difference in battery drain with a 1.3ohm 28g coil, or a 1.3ohm 32g twisted coil. If you're concerned about battery life, add an extra coil. but you're going to lose some of that kick if you're up in the 1.8-2.2 ohm coil range. my coils have been ~1.7ohms and the next one I build will be closer to the 1.0-1.3ohm range... Don't yet have that "kick" but I want it.

if your twisted 32g feels "hot", simply add another coil. (like 4/3 to 5/4)

That is a fing amazing idea. I was trying to figure out how to do glow in the dark fingernail polish in the airhole.

lol, never licked the top cap.... but I have licked the LE drip tip, i put the logo right on the air hole and usually i can just feel it with my bottom lip.

it's at about 1.5 ohms now, with a 5/4 wrap? haven't learned the 4/3, 5/4 terminology yet. do you guys go clockwise on positive post? seems like the way to go. I think I like the current hotness, wick just needs to break in a lil. slight joose burnage taste.

Every time I see the word Joose this is what pops into my head
