Yay for me, my first of many iHy's has arrived. I picked this one up in the classies and I have a few questions before I get started.

    1) I really want to do a complete breakdown and cleaning, as there appears to be some condensation or leftover juice buildup in the tank. Is there a trick to getting the tank to slide off? I mean its unbelievably tight and I'm afraid its going to break from applying pressure.

    2) Also I'm not really digging the switch as of yet and I'm not sure which version it is either. Its a solid color band on top, knurled for the locking (twist counter-clockwise to lock, clockwise to lock or righty tighty lol). Now granted my batteries won't be in until tomorrow so it may just be a problem of not having a battery in the tube, but with it unlocked it sits all the way closed. I'm assuming with a battery in the tube it would create enough tension to push the switch out but wouldn't that cause a connection making it fire? Or is that what the white delrin piece is for around the brass screw? The main reason I'm not very fond of the switch yet is because with only one piece knurled it makes it extremelty hard to take off the battery tube as their is no grip to spin it with. Plus when placing it in the locking position it never completely comes to a stop, it just spins, clicks, and spins again, and the threads feel all jacked up especially in comparison to the threading on the tubes which are silky smooth.

    3) Can someone recommend a nice drip tip to match this which fits along with a trusted vendor to order from? None of my 510 drip tips fit (I actually only have 3 but they are all aluminum, 2 of which are shorties or stubbies.

I just want to make sure I treat this baby right, especially since its now part of the family :vapor: and my thanks in advance for all your help.

First and foremost... If you are going to take the tank off, REMOVE THE TOP O-RING. I had to learn that one the hard way yesterday. I had taken the glass off a couple times without too much issue but yesterday it got hung up and I cracked it. Use one thumb and forefinger at the top tank o-ring to twist and lift and keep your other thumb and forefinger on the bottom of the glass to guide it off, making sure to not let it tilt to the sides at all.

The switch needs a battery loaded into the tube in order for it to be ready to fire. The battery will extend the switch out into the ready position. The delrin spacer stops the battery from connecting with the screw until you fire it. The newest switches will be for sale periodically through Face's main vendor and will continue to be sold until people stop buying them. Sounds like the guy you bought it off of didn't take very good care of the switch.

As far as drip tips are concerned I use the one that came with my LE, you'll get plenty of recommendations from other people here.

Sounds like most of your other ?s were answered, but trippy tips work well, and many people love bully tips. I use trippies mostly.
