The nipple is always an added bonusIt's on the file I sent to Phr0st but I don't know if Face will be able to get that much detail there so I left it off the promotional render. If he can manage it it'll be a nice bonus. If it's on the promo and he can do it then it's world war three.
Ok when you get a dry hit and set the iHy down (straight up and down no tilting) if you leave it there a minute is the next hit dry? Or normal as if you had tilted?Nice render, Fisty! Keep 'em comin'!
And I'm having a wick problem...or at least I think it's a wick problem, as I've rebuilt two coils on a well-oxidized wick and still have the same issue....but anyway I'm having a flavor issue. It's like I'm getting a dry hit taste even when there isn't any hotspots or shorts (that I can discern) on the wick I'm using. The wick is a bit on the older side, though so I was wondering if maybe it's just getting gross? Anyway when I tilt my HR and saturate the wick, the flavor is outstanding. However if I take too many hits without tipping it it starts to taste metallic. But like I said, no hot spots, no shorts....wick shows no continuity when metered at any spot on it....so what is happening here? The wick isn't touching the bottom of the tank, and it isn't touching any other metal other than where it enters the tank. Any ideas hybreeds??
Also, just got pics of an epic trippy tip that was made for my Hell Raiser....don't want to post without it on the device though so I'll show you when I get it!!!!!!! Which, depending on whether or not Bert brings it by tonight, I may have it today or tomorrow! SO STOKED!
Beautiful Nancy and Fisty.... love the design and the color.

If it is a normal hit after letting it sit a bit I'm led to believe your wick is not wicking fast enough for your coil![]()
It's a normal hit. And so is it just burning the juice when it isn't quite as wet or something? I don't see any boiling, no glowing, no abnormal vapor production, etc.

I think you probably answered your own question in the original post. The wick is on the older sider, it's possible it's gunked up and not wicking well enough to keep up with the coil.
It will get full saturated if you let it sit for a bit and the hits you take are great. During normal vaping it's not wicking fast enough. Depending on what juice you use it may be gunked up and not wanting to work.
You can either re-torch it or make a new wick.
Yup
Boiling would happen if it was over-wicking, your problem seems to be that it is not wicking enough. You can fix this a couple ways. I think you may be better served by rolling and oxidizing a new wick though
Anybody else wanna expand on this?
Hey everyone. Looks like I may finalize my trade for the ihybrid V2. I really wanted a v2.1, but some things don't work out as planned.
Anyways, here's some dubstep for you guys/gals. Check out the speed of his fingers....
On that note, any great tips for good, thorough oxidization? I've tried the cig paper technique, and while it's okay it just doesn't cut it for me cause I end up having to play with the coils and inevitably end up pushing them off the carbon. I also have torched for long periods with a high quality torch, and the only results I've ever had were the wick starting to break apart from overheating, or shorts when I set it up. Only way I've been able to build a reliable wick up to this point is by doing my best to oxidize with the torch but not overdoing it and then doing the cig paper method, probably more than once.
