I know how it is, we went thought it shortly after thanksgiving. My daughter seems to catch it first, then the rest of us get it. My 20 month old son was stuck at 103-104* for almost a week. Then I caught it and had to stay home from work. Glad to hear everyone is better.

yeah it sucks, luckily me and the wife didnt get it, and we dont get the flu shot

Glad to have you back! And that your daughter is feeling better.

Sorry to hear your dog is now sick, but I don't have any experience with this. Wikipedia says minor cases are 2-3 days once treatment has started and 5 days - 2 weeks in severe cases. But thats just Wiki, and like I said I have no personal experience with the problem. Here's the article

2 weeks?? Thats $5600!! He better get better before that!!

Anyone have any experience with a dog with parvo? I have a 6 month old german sheppard, he got sick the other day, took him to vet, he has parvo, he didnt look good at all, the animal hospital still has him saying he isnt making progress, costing me $400 a day to keep him there, if it isnt one thing its another. So, how long before he gets better?

They had a Parvo scare at the shelter around the time we got our pup Lola a few years ago, I got the sense that it takes a bit of time. $400 a day seems pretty excessive, you need to talk to them about that and get them to come down on that price, and also give you a prognosis and timeline. if they put him down I will not pay them 1 cent. They have him on antibiotics and fluids all by IV

we have had 2 dogs first one vet said feed him baby food and if he makes it he makes it ..... he died
2nd one we went to different vet
they had us bring her in 3 days in a row twice a day and fed her with the IV she made it and lived to be 14
