There are actually two models of VV3. The one that takes the "pen cap" (I forget it's name, but it's a subtle difference if there's any difference at all!) is 510 only. The other model is 510 and ego.

And yes, with the pen cap model a 510 to ego adapter is needed for ego threaded toppers.

Thank you for that info. I was actually asking about the smok epipe based on an avatar photo, but always good to know for the next I taste vv that I buy.

Received my first itaste vv3 last Friday - love it! Based on the specs/ youtube reviews, I didn't expect much of an improvement over my ego C-twist but I was pleasantly surprised. Switching back and forth from each really proved the difference - way better vapor production and flavor. Got the white on eBay from eCig Emporium for $32.95 w/ free shipping. Provari is on the top of my wish list but will buy a couple more itaste vv3's for me & the hubby while we save the funds to buy the big daddy for Xmas! Definitely will keep the itaste vv3 as my on-the-go PV.

Thanks for the advice on the charging cord - will be sure to be careful when ejecting!

I only do the dry burns and replace the flavor wick. I can get a few extra weeks out of a coil by doing the dry burns, but I'm not into rewiring the coil.

Just came across this thread so a little late, I know. You mention dry burning/ replacing the flavor wicks...I've been doing the dry burn, too, which works great, however, the flavor wick has been my problem. I've been rinsing/ cleaning them the best I can but eventually they fall apart, way before the coil burns out. Do you replace with clean, fresh wicks? If so, where do you get them?

I bought mine from All About Vapor and it came with a 60 day warranty. I would check the warranty information posted on the vendor's site where it was purchased.

Yes that's how it happened. I had a different charger at work and pulled to disconnect and the guts came out. Now I find out I'm not alone I suppose because Innoken is coming out with an upgrade to the v3 that has 6 rivets to prevent this from happening. I tried moving the pin but I give up and will try to get a replacement from the vendor... If not I'm thinking maybe the MVP 2? Not sure if I can get used to the design but the battery life will make up for it... But I really did love the vv3 :(

I never thought of the jwrap. just looked up and got them for the itaste v3 - http://www.jwraps.com/SearchResults.asp?Search=itazte+vv

Oh, that was cruel when I just had to put myself on a budget for the next month. :glare: The only problem I have with the itaste vv is the boring color choices.

Seriously, I love the itaste vv. It's my first venture into vaping (3 weeks in), and I chose it from the recommendations I got when I asked for ideas about what to use that I could handle with really numb hands. My original plan was to get something else for backup/variety, but one week in and after a lot of reading I ordered my second itaste.

I'm still playing with the settings, and really screwing them up sometimes, but I don't see any need to switch to another set-up anytime soon. Charging is easy, I've had no problems with these. (Clearomizers and cartomizers are a whole different story.)

I have an iTaste VV3 on its way back to the vendor because the LCD was a bit flaky and one of the segments wouldn't light up (that should say 3.8 in the photo), also the bottom cap (containing the LCD) was a bit crooked. Not SUPER visible in the photo, but when I stood it up it had a definite lean. Kind of bummed, even though I'm hoping to get a new flawless one.

I now can take my favorite iTazte batteries with me!

I was reading another post and now my girlies have necklaces for on the go!

Here's the post. I just used an ego-lanyard, took off the lobster claw and the thingy that hooks to the battery... The guy from the post used a Wii strap! You also have to have a bigger tank & beauty ring...

I have a question. I charged my MVP 2 this morning until the green light went off. I pulled it off the charger and the battery indicator read 4.2U meaning volts I know. Is this normal? This is only the second charge and I'm pretty sure after the first charge it was at 4.7

4.2 volts is the limit. You might have thought 4.7 but I can assure you it's 4.2 when fully charged. It's the same on VV-3.

Also don't pull the cord off. Hold the battery where the usb plug goes in, and gently pull out the plug.

Regarding the charging plug. I usually hold the battery on it's end, on the chromed, part, and sort of "pinch" the plug out. About 6 months in on my VV3, and no issues.

I've read of folk using a #60 O-ring, and replacing the factory grommet with same, on things like the Vamo. Same size post, so it is probably a similar procedure. And don't overtighten the topper :)

The wives chameleon one is messing up already :?:

She came to me a few days ago to say wasn't working, turns out the firing pin needed raising, 2 days later and same thing, so think this will be a continued problem with this one, unless there is a way to stop the pin keep pushing down to far.

Most likely she is making it too tight. Just turn until you feel resistance is all that is needed. I made that mistake with my VV-3 and after raising the pin I gently tighten and problem solved.
