The greenie (cameleon) is really black and the paint is that of a custom car. Red speckles in certain light and green speckles in a different light, but all against a black finish.

Really? That changes things for me quite a bit. I thought I read it was purple or green, but if you're saying it's black....with glitter......holy cow. That's like custom made for me!!

Anyone have a good picture of one? I just can't ever seem to find one where I think I can tell what 'chameleon' really looks like...

Okay, got mine today and HOLY AMAZEBALLS. So glad I've made the switch to variable. I thought I had that dead-taste-bud-when-you-start-vaping thing happening (probably still do some), but I have found the flavor I knew this juice had! And it's not even a juice I'm a huge fan of :)

Now my problem is this: I work outside, usually in dirty, oily, fumey environs. I'm also insanely clumsy and drop things a lot. Do I invest in another VV 3.0 (and risk breaking it), or is there a way to convert my sweet spot wattage into the right coil ohm-age for using my evod batts at work? I was going to get backups for the evods, but now I'm hesitant....

Holy poop on a stick Batman. I may just sit here and vape all night. And maybe call in the rest of the week too....this thing is unbelievable.

What color?

for my first one it's black.....have a lot of smoke colored clearomizers so thought it would look good.
but my t3's are my favorites....so haven't decided on next color. probably will order from F/T now that I can wait for delivery.....wanted one in a few days so ordered from madvapes.
looks like I am going to love this thing from reading all the posts.
I wanted VW but no way wanted to Vape on something the size of vamo or Zmax. maybe someday.:toast:

It's always nice to have 2 of them. but if you are prone to dropping them you may want to just use your old eGo setup. BTW take the rest of the week off and enjoy your new VV.

If it were me and I was working in those kind of conditions I would take a basic ego battery and a clearo with me to work all day. Maybe even in an expensive twist style battery. And a clearo like an Evod or Iclear 16. Overall, the basic set up during the day and then have your good stuff waiting for you when you get home. I just picked up an ego twist style battery from fasttech for around $13. 1100 Mah, that would last you during the day.
The VV's appear to be pretty durable but my main concern would be the little buttons for adjusting the voltage/wattage getting dirty and unusable. Getting a battery without extra buttons and Display, in my opinion, would be better suited for your working conditions

Where do you buy the replacement coils for you I clear 16s??
I really appreciate your time.
Pat

I just found this thread! I received my ITaste vv3 last week from FT. Got the kit with 5 Iclear 16s. I love this thing! The size, the weight, the feel. I have been using ego twist/spinners, but I wanted something more. I am not into the big bulky mods, this is perfect!

Pat, you ask for Iclear 16 coils. I am waiting for some from FT. They just started carrying them a few weeks ago. Here is the link
$5.91 Coil Heads for Innokin iClear16 Clearomizer (5-Pack) 5-pack - 2.0ohm / dual heating coil at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
don't know if that has been posted already, just reading through the pages, found your post, and thought I would reply.

Edit: Oh, and wanted to send thanks for the info on charging. I thought maybe something was wrong. Charged til light turned green and it just did not last near as long as that first charge. Plugged in now in "off" mode, will wait til light goes out. Wow, everyone is so helpful!

Right you are - when charging and the light goes green, it's just telling you that the voltage is high enough to vape (maybe in pass thru mode?), and will go out when fully charged. You don't have to turn it off to charge, makes no difference. But I usually turn it off either before or after, to reset the counter. Which I use as a rough guide for when to recharge - before it goes yellow!

For the dirty job environment... a lot depends on what the job actually is. But, yes, a Spinner wouldn't be a bad choice. Less to get messed up, especially if you get one of the stainless ones. Easy to clean.

Check around ECF for the vaping power chart. Once you've decided on the watts you like with a given juice, you can use it to see what value coil to get (or wrap) for something similar on a fixed voltage battery. If you're sticking with VV, i.e. a Spinner / Twist, then somewhere around 2.2 - 2.6 should give you enough adjustment to get the vape you want.

Any of the metal clad toppers might help that part stand up to your environment. And I'd avoid glass for that, as well. While it's impervious to the various tank cracking juices, they aren't as durable as poly, especially when wrapped in metal!

I've had my iTaste VV3 for a few months now and I love this thing! I use it more than any of my other PVs, mostly because I love the square shape and that it charges through micro USB, since I have those cords everywhere around the house.

I do have a question thought. Can this device be used as a reliable ohm reader? I never really used that function. When you press both the + and - buttons, the A = Ω? I ask this because I recently ordered a multimeter, which I haven't received yet and I got it to test my RBA coils out since I'm just now getting into that stuff. Can I use my iTaste to check my ohms for shorts? Will it read something weird if there IS a short or should I use something else? It just seems much more convenient to use this instead since I don't have to mess with the prongs and stuff.

I've compared it to the readings on a medium range DVM, and they're essentially the same. Of course, there's bound to be some small variation unit to unit, but the technology is pretty much standardized, so I'd expect them all to be close.

I find I used the DVM more when I'm rebuilding coils, making sure it's what I want after re-assembling the head. Then I'll use the VV3 after putting the coil into the base, to make sure nothing got twisted or otherwise shorted.
