As I already have a black one from them already, can tell you it is a real innokin itaste, not a knock off, so don't know how fasttech is getting them so cheap or where from, but they are the real deal though.

Edit, just saw the date on that statement, it is old, so guess innokin did nothing about it, or fasttech told them to f off

I just looked at my boxes, 1 came from fasttech, the other came today from highdesertvapes, both look the same, but both do not have that on them, but I am not that concerned about it, they both are working well, and I have seen people complain about faulty units that they got from US vendors, like the ones complaining that the bottom of the battery comes out when pulling out the usb charging cable from the battery.

Even if the battery only lasted 3 months, not going to complain when can get another for $25

The pictures are the the V2, but people have confirmed getting the V3 from fasttech, they just haven't updated the pictures.

Wife's Chameleon itaste turned up today, she LOVES it, 1st time I've seen her get really excited about a battery.

I'll be getting 2 more, so both me and the wife have a spare one, I will be getting her the white from fasttech and then I am going to get the silver from a US vendor, so we will end up with one of each color in the end

I just ordered a white one from Fasttech as well. Sigh... third order placed within a week from them and the first order placed 6 days ago is still at "order received" status. Grrr...

My first itazte vv/vw v3 came from vapingme in TX.
I loved it.
Today it quit
Just quit
I was using it as a passthrough and suddently the button went to red and stayed there.
I took the charger off and put it on my phone. It is working.
I used my phone charger and plugged the v3 into a usb wall wart.
It came on red and stayed red for about 5 min then went to yellow for about 3 minutes it is now showing green while plugged into the wall wart.
Nothing ever leaked into it.
It never showed yellow before going to red on my usb port on my computer.
I am so upset and now I don't trust it no matter what happens after I take it off my phone charge.
I am just so bummed.
suggestions????
Also there is NO product code of any sort on my box.

Dang that sucks! How long did you have it for? Do you think its a clone? I got mine from Vapedojo, $32.99 for their express kit and comes with all the colors. I did order one from fasttech though...

Could be the usb cord as is charging on the wall wart, my usb cable stopped working after a few weeks, they are really cheap cables, I'm now charging using my phone usb cable and it charges faster with it, if your concerned about it Pat, contact vapingme, it will still be under warrenty as only just got it not long ago

I have read several articles about using a computer to charge a ecig battery. In fact I believe Mount Baker has a warning about it on their web site. I have been using my cell phone charger plugged into a wall wart and have not had a issue with it so far. It does have short circuit protection built in, so it may have reset itself. If the green light goes out it should be fine to use. Good luck with it.

Maybe I am just a stick battery kinda girl.
Just a meh vape on those cigalikes, but they just worked.

Well, the charger that came with the itaste is charging my phone just fine, but it is not plugged into the computer/but an usb wall wart.
I will give it some time and then may call Vaping me.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. As far as having no product code on the box I have to question whether this is the final say on if it's a legitimate Innokin product or not. Here's why I say that. I sent an email off to a couple of the people who do reviews on YouTube. These are people that have done hundreds of reviews with thousands of subscribers. I asked them specifically if they had that scratch off barcode on their iTaste VV V3 box, express kit or full kit, and the answers I received was no.
One of them received it directly from Innokin which may explain why it doesn't have the barcode as it was not a "retail "product. The other reviewer didn't have the scratch off barcode either and they received it from a retailer. A trusted retailer.
My new MVP v2 has the barcode. My VV V3 does not. If my VV is a knock off it's a really really good one. All of the packaging is accurate, the charger, the manual, the 16's all look legit. It even had the same peel-off plastic protective coating on the LCD screen as my MVP had.
I'm not saying these things are proof that my VV is real I'm just saying that it seems like there are a lot of people getting these kits without that scratch off barcode from very legitimate retailers.
At the end of the day, if Innokin claims that all of their products have this barcode then I guess that's the bottom-line. In that case, a lot of people are getting ripped off.

I'm not having troubles, I'm loving the itaste, don't believe it is a knock off, but don't care if is, as working great, it's only the usb cable that stopped working, and uses the same cable as my cell phone, so not a big deal at all

For what it's worth, I think your device is fine. The PCB may have just flaked out for a second. Since it went through the charging phase fine I would continue to use it as you normally do. I personally use mine as a pass through but it's plugged into the wall adapter, not USB. It's even possible that the USB port you were using is flaky and briefly shorted out your device.
Use a different USB port and see how that goes.

what kind of USB charger would we have to pick up if the one in the kit goes bad? My phone is an IPHONE so I know that won't work for usre.

As far as the cable goes any USB cable that matches the ends on your original will work fine. The larger and is a type A connection and the other end is a micro-USB connection.
As for the wall charger, I have used many different kinds of USB/wall chargers. I've got a few different ones from different mods and I've never had a problem mixing them around. I may be overcautious by saying this but I would stick with a wall charger/adapter that is designed to be used with an e-cig

We are here to help if we can. If you are using a smart phone wall wart charger now and have the green light on stick with it. I really think there was some sort of short coming from your computer USB outlet. If you vape a lot you may wish to have a backup.
