I'm not looking for a $100 mod at this time. Happy with my VVs, MVPs and for a tube I have my sigelei Zmax.

That's one of the things I like about that Galileo... just $22.84, at Slo-tech. :D Right up my poverty-stricken alley.

I just picked up a Sigelei Zmax V3 as my first foray to tube mods and replaceable batteries. I'm using my full-sized Nauti on it right now, and I just picked up a Nauti mini this week while I was out of town on business (I know, paid more for it than I should have, but I've been trying to stop in different shops when I travel.)

@Andria, the Nauti mini is mahvelous on the VV3. Not top-heavy at all, and it still looks like a mini-scepter ;)

I have been having such good luck with the Nautis that I'm not using my EVODs as much, so eGo threading may not be a big deal when looking at the iStick. The form-factor is intriguing, and that sub-ohmming becomes possible with that device..... I have plenty of toys (like Paul, happy with VV3s and MVPs), and I haven't delved into sub-ohmming at this point.

I think I'm going to let the dust settle before exploring the iStick much further....

Considering that I COULD NOT STAND the full-size nauti.. I think I'll pass. :D No dual coil nuthin for me. In fact I really don't see much reason to explore any other tanks, given how thrilled I am with my kayfuns and UDCT. Although there is one other tank that interests me a little, the new Lemo, another eLeaf. But someone said it's miles airier than a kayfun, so maybe I should pass on that; I already have to keep my kayfun's AFC almost completely closed to feel like I'm not trying to "smoke a straw."

SO! I have a question, Mr.s and Ms.s iTazters.... shall I mention the unmentionable? What is your reaction to the new up and comer, the iStick? Is its popularity having an effect on you in the positive or the negative? Or do you just not really care one way or the other. Do you have one? Plan to get one? Replace a current device? Add to the arsenal?

Katdarling, I was all excited about it when I first saw it, especially since I have problems with the MVP button. I would love to have a small, lightweight, easy to use option with a long lasting battery.

But, I am not happy with what I am reading about it as far as low voltage/low wattage so I'm waiting for more information about that. I now have enough VV v3s that the frequent recharging isn't as much of an issue, and I can still use an MVP when I'm going to be out and about all day.

My jury is still out on the iStick. Not in any hurry to add to my array ("backups" run about 5 layers deep in tube mods, VV3s and other non-replaceable batteries), and the low power issue, if it's actual, would probably be a deal breaker for me. Smaller than my MVP (although 400 mAh less) might be enough to re-ignite interest in box mods.

The SVD 2 was initially rumored to be out the end of Sept, last I heard was mid-October. Waiting on real world experience before even thinking about that :)

(As in "did they fix the fire button issue???" )

I have one VV3 from when this thread started and it still works. Since then I added two more VV3's, a MVP2, and a Provari. If I decide to add a mod it will be another Provari. All I use are the IB Tanked cartos, which I have 4 of them. I'm all set until the next Provari when the VV3's finally go to rest.

The output of my iStick is too hot at low power—no way does the output produce a similar vape to the VV 3.0 at comparable low power settings. It's possible mine isn't working properly but I'm guessing that if Phil Busardo gets around to testing it that the results will show the iStick is probably not the best choice for low power vapers.

Although it's already been talked about, I'll add my 2¢ worth: You are absolutely right about that. According to a review I read (I think read, don't think it was a Youtube vid), unless your battery has run down, it really overshoots at the lower ohms. The review even had a chart that showed what it output vs what you called for vs battery voltage, à la PBusardo. I didn't Evernote it so I'm not sure where I saw it, but I will go through my browsing history and dig it up if anyone is interested.

Like you, I had also thought about getting it and building to its shortcomings, but I think I'm going to wait for Busardo's review first. That and the facts that I'm a lower power vaper (8 watts seems to the sweet spot for me, especially for the two Virgin Vapor juices that are my current ADV's -- that's subject to change, however, as I add other juices), plus I'm quite happy with my current stable of 4 VV V3's. (Er, make that 3. While waiting to get some rice, I put the dunked V3 out in the sun to dry, and that seemed to have caused the bat to leak. Dunno, it might have leaked anyway, but it ended up quite dead. I couldn't even give it a proper burial, as I was leaving town.)

I am asking this most everywhere, and not getting any answers? Any thoughts about the upcoming iTaste SVD 2.0? Removable top cap, Custom DNA board (really) - and yet no one is talking about it?

If I decide to splurge on a high end mod, it is currently between the Provari V3 and SVD 2.0. Because I'm happy with my current VV V's, I can easily wait for Busardo's review and some feedback from early buyers on both of them before making any decision. My guess from the preview reviews I've seen is that they're both going to be great.

I just wish one of them were a small box mod like the iStick, which I'm very likely not getting because of its lack of buck (ability to down-regulate voltage) circuitry.

How in the world are you vaping at 8 ohms? :p

Well if it's really that hot, then I guess I'll have to give that one a miss. Too bad, it's a cute lil thing, but I like my low-wattage vaping, don't want to go higher just because the device doesn't know how. :(

So I guess I'll just keep the MVP2 in mind for whenever I decide it's time for a box mod.

Just remember the downside of the fire button on the MVP2 - if you have hand issues - it *can* be hard to push - by the end of a day I can't use mine for a day or two. Doesn't bother most people - but heads-up if you have OA or the like.

Yeah, I recall Amoret saying it could be very hard, for those with hand issues. I've had issues like that from time to time, but not for a while; I know it's probably in my future, seems to run in my family -- my grandmother's hands ended up basically just crippled, they were so swollen and painful with arthritis... but I've probably got some years left before it gets to be an everyday problem.

I mainly just like the MVP2 because of that 2600mAh, and the fact that you can use it to charge other things. And it's an Innokin -- not a guarantee of wonderfulness (looking at you, SVD!), but I've been *very* pleased with my vv3's. also the MVP doesn't have that lil cage on the side like the VTR, so I can use my Kayfuns with it -- I really like the look of the VTRs, but that inability to use a kayfun except by perching it on top exactly as you do with the MVP, that's a deal killer.

Um, why retire them? I have 5 regulated tube mods, 3 mechs, MVP, VV3 and a small boat load of other VV ego sizes (well, mostly 1300 sizes :) )

Sometimes a smaller and lighter device in hand is desirable, to me at least. And something on a lanyard I find to be ideal when driving - no worries about where it is if I need to drop it. And a convenient size for an out and about backup or flavor change... :2c:

I'd be interested in that link, KGie, if you can dig it up :)

And I'm sure you meant watts those places you put ohms, yes?

Sorry to hear of the loss to your stable - but better safe than sorry, eh?
