we are aware of the kick and most of us have heard of the crown. recently ive found out about the stomp, a "chinese kick". but thats all i know. (if anyone has any additional info on the stomp, please post)

id like to compare the three devices. pricing for the kick and crown are similar. im betting the stomp will be much cheaper.

the crown is available in VV or VW, kick being just VW. the kick goes from 5 to 10 watts in half watt increments, the crown goes from 5-10 in 1 watt increments. the VV crown goes from 3.5V to 5.5v in .2 volt increments.

the crown has auditory signals while the kick is adjusted by spinning a dial.

the crown is smaller than a kick, which could be good or bad.

the crown has a spring loaded pin for a ground, the kick uses just a spring-looking ground.

the crown has a 2.5A limit.
from what ive gathered, the kick appears to have approx a 3A limit. i created a thread about this recently and nobody was able to definitavely say. if you have the answer, please post.

the kick is available from many different vendors, i have no clue who has or will have the crown. please post if you know.

the stomp? who knows. hopefully soon we will have some info.

Actually variable voltage and variable wattage can accomplish the same task. Difference being. Like the kick. Adjust your wattage and the kick will adjust your voltage for you. Keeping it at the same wattage setting regardless of what resistance device your using.
adjustable voltage will simply lock the voltage so what ever resistance device you screw on it will require an adjustment. If you have a low Res device Watts is gonna be to much. But may have been just right for that 3.5 carto you were just using. So you're gonna have to make a voltage adjustment for everything. Unlike Watts.
The kick just works..
I gave up trying to go on the cheap because there's a reason people will ALWAYS tell you....you get what you pay for

Are you sure the kick only adjusts in half watts? I figured it's more fine tuned than that considering if you turn the screw just a tiny bit you're upping it in point one increments.

I like the kick because it keeps the mod looking nice and clean. The crown is a bit ugly to me and adds unnecessary height. Plus that beeping is annoying tbh.

Like when you change a radio station with an old school radio dial. 97.8, 97.9, 98.8 makes sense?

yes that part makes perfect sense. i have a kick, but i havent changed the dial much. (it would have been nice if they included a screwdriver that fits it.) it seems as if it sorta "clicks" into 0.5 wattage increments. but that could just be me using a (inadequate) paperclip to adjust.

the part that doesnt make sense (to me) is when you talk about the height of the crown. its actually smaller (shorter) than the kick.

I think The Can is a good idea and would look good on The Curve, that is if they offered The Curve with an 18350 tube. As it is, The Curve (or any other mod) with The Can on top and a tank on top of that is just too much.

If it's something 18350 mode like the ea it might not be so bad. But I'd rather not add that much extra height.

I call BS on that.

 why?

if youre calling BS on me personally, please dont. that is exactly what they emailed to me: 4.5A limit. email them yourself if you really dont beleive me.

if your calling BS on Evolv... again, why? youre certainly entitled to your opinion but i dont see why Evolv would lie about one of their products.
