Let me know if you get any sounds after a while, I dont know why mine is doing it. It happening with both of mine. I contacted John about it. Do I have the worst luck or what? :)

No sounds at all... One thing I can tell you is that the Crown run times are much longer than the Kick...The only problem is that instead of shutting off like a Kick it starts to deliver lower voltage that does not achieve the 10 watts I have it set at... 2.4 ohm verified atty with fresh battery gives 4.9 volts under load with both a Kick and Crown = 10 watts... When the battery voltage got down to 3.7 volts(no load) the Crown is only delivering 4.4 volts under load = 8 watts.... Put in a fresh battery and the voltage goes back to the correct 4.9 volts.. Artisan vaping still has some bugs to work out.... But I do recommended the Crown...

Crown update...as I previously described about the Crown as battery discharges it does not stutter like Kick...it keeps firing but does not deliver enough voltage to produce the 10 watts its set at... Here is another problem...with a fresh battery of the charger with a 2.4 ohm(verified) atomizer it delivers 4.9 volts like the Kick giving a 10 watt(set) vape...With an inline voltage tester hooked up it keeps the 4.9 volts as you keep the fire button down so does the Kick..With a 1.5 ohm (verified) atomizer the Crown starts off at 3.9 volts bat as you hold the fire button down the voltage starts to drop 3.9--3.75--3.63 so it does not keep a constant 10 watt vape...The kick with a 1.5 ohm atty starts at 3.88 volts and when you hold the fire button down its remains at 3.88 volts= 10.03 vape... The Kick does have shorter run times but is consistent where as the Crown is not...........

We should be getting in the new Kick V2 too shortly.
Edit...Last night when I got home my Crown would not accept commands....Instead of beeping when given commands it would just continue to fire the atomizer, I tried over and over but could only get it to work every 1 out of 6 times....Now this morning it is working perfectly again, very strange indeed?? I love the small height of the Crown and the fact that it has shift on the fly...But possibly it might still have some issues that arise.? Since the Kick works flawless in my ELA I think the Kick2 might the way to go......

Odd behaviours, but no one else gets buzzing. Odd indeed. I hope to find the cause, but it ELA, at least mine, doesnt seem to like the Crown. The crown works well in my other device, flawless. Maybe the Kick 2 will be a better match. I hope to exchange the dead crown with the Kick 2, once Super-T gets theirs.

Crossing fingers.

My Crown took commands all morning.........now its back to taking NO commands...... At least I have it locked in at 10 watts!

The HH atomizer I was using was 5 weeks old...tossed it today and replaced it with a new one, Now the Crown seems to be working perfect again...not sure why that would make a difference but it did?

These are the things that always lead me to screwing my Infinity onto my Precise and riding off into the sunset.
Soon I'll be getting a Kayfun Lite. I'm gonna Crown that thing and I'm gonna make my life as complicated as possible with it. Try to break them both. You know me, I'm a True Tester.

That's why I always ask for the "SNORK" seal of approval....Then I know its a bullet proof product:thumb:

Well, and then you add in my stupidity factor and you really have a winner!
I got the Kayfun Lite this afternoon, read snippets of the user manual, watched a snippet of a video, figured "I got this". Built a coil, put it together, filled it up. Started vaping, something not quite right. No wicking, dry dry dry. Huh.
What I failed to comprehend was that a little o-ring actually needed to be seated in the top cap and not just ride around on the chimney. It has to seal the thing. I had filled up the Kayfun and the juice had run right out the driptip into my lap. There I am vaping away on a dry atty not even realizing my crotch was soaked in nicotine. Good thing I at least plan ahead for maiden voyages and used my cheap stuff.

LOL, even the veterans run into little glitches once in a while. I have done similar things. Lets see after using the Odysseus for a year, I forgot to put my o-ring between the small top cap and the top cap and had juice run out onto my lap. Then I did the mother of silly things such as forgetting to put the safety switch off when leaving my ELA and Ody unattended for 45 mins, both survived with no harm.

I forgot to trim off my positive wire and placed it in my ELA and of course shorted out, no harm done, even with a kick in place. I also set up a fresh build on and started vaping and got the god awful dry hit, because I forgot to open the juice control on Ody.

Once I also set up my Ody, after cleaning it thoroughly and started vaping and got the dry hit. I thought dang, my juice flow is open, still hardly any vape and god awful dry hits. Opened it up emptied the juice checked everything, checked for a short, all was reading fine on the meter. Filled again. Yuck. Emptied again, took the wick off put another one in same bad experience. Then for long shot, looked inside my mouthpiece and it was clogged with the tip of my q-tip. OOOPS.

Things happen to everyone, but sometimes more to some of us:blush:

I got it working shortly after posting. Ended up with a redo wick/coil after watching a different video. 1.7 ohms is what it turned out. It works VERY well so far! I had assumed it would be similar to Odysseus, it's not. Just as ingenious but the concept and setup is quite different. The only negative is what others have mentioned, a pretty airy draw. Quite a few workarounds come to mind.
The first video I watched was Todd's. That was fairly useless. Then I watched one by an AndrewWVids, excellent.

Just remembered I had contacted John from Artisan regarding the dead Crown, its been a week since and nothing.......... David fortuately did tell me to send it back to him. If he sends me another, I will most likely sell in the classies. I wont test it on ELA, just in case.

Heres a question, when you all buy things in the classifieds and it mentions, new in box, unopened, would you prefer the person to test it or just leave it new and unused ? I see people selling things that mention, new, etc..... but tested to make sure it works.

Now I know there are some unscrupulous people that might say that and you never know if by tested they mean tested for a week, a day, couple hours, etc.

Ive sold things that are basically new, and I describe how much it was used, a day, to test, well used , or got it put it on my device and it was kept in a box for months. Sometimes , and I mean within minutes people will PM me and try to get me to reduce the price by 20% or more, or even half. Even when its something that I just got in within days and its new in box.

I always feel bad saying no, but I do tell them thanks for the offer and if its listed for at least a few days with no interest I might let it go for less. Maybe they can tell im a softie or a pushover :)

The Crown uses a current sensor to detect when the button is pushed. If you don't have a load on your mod (or the load is making intermittant contact) then there will be no current for the Crown to detect, and it won't accept commands. The output power/voltage regulation will still work, it just won't be able to detect when the mod's button is pushed.

No it was having problems, believe me I know how to operate the Crown.... Anyway I have a Crown Killer in the house now, its called a Kick2!!!
