The Kant arena had been very confused....and still is. I wanted to make a reference thread for everyone who has dared enter the Kant world. First...I know some of you are waiting to hear about the new "Original Kant" which just arrived recently, and is it the same? The short answer is no, it is not. Despite the name, it does not taste like what we have been calling "Classic Kant". But on the upside, it is a far cry closer (and better) than 30ml Premium Kant. It's all very confusing, so hence this thread. I currently count 4 flavors of Kant and here is how I sort them.

1. Classic Kant: This is the stuff in 5ml bottles and in non-premium cartos. It is golden yellow in color and the bottle label has an orange ball on it. As far as I know, when the cartos run out...and the 5ml bottles...this flavor will be gone forever.

2. Premium Cartomizer Kant: This is currently just a carto category because it has no juice bottle equivalent at this time. When these cartos run out...the flavor will be gone as well.

3. Premium 30ml bottle Kant: This is only found in the premium 30ml bottles. There is no 5ml or pre-filled carto with this stuff as of now. It has a distinct smell of buttered popcorn and is red in color. No other Kant smells like this one....or tastes even close. Castle image on label. Classic Kant lovers are advised against this one. Just my opnion...

4. Original Kant: Currently available only in premium cartos and premium 30ml bottles. Light yellow in color (lighter than classic) and more fluid. Castle image on the label is a little different from premium 30ml Kant label.

But maxx (I can hear you).....what does all this mean?

I'm glad you asked. It means if you are a strict Classic Kant lover and only like the classic....your Kant days are numbered. If you are a person with equally strict tastebuds concerning premium cartomizer Kant...your days are numbered. If you like Classic or premium carto Kant, but can tolerate and get used to a modified Kant....then the new "Original Kant" in premium 30ml bottles and premo cartos may save the day for you. It's sort of in the ballpark. If you absolutely cannot stand any Kant at all....buy the premium (red) Kant in 30ml bottles....because it is nowhere near what true Kant is.

That's the state of Kant right now. Who knows what it will be a few months from now....since some of these flavor changes could be accounted for simply with batch variables.

And my official Save the Kant crusade is over. I think I have gotten as far as I can on this one. I appreciate Leaford's effort in China even if only a partial success according to my tastebuds. I still think he should have thrown the Chinese chemist in the river for making that red stuff.

Can we see an updated pic of your stash as of today?

As you can see....there's a few missing now. In fact....had enough room to put in the 30ml bottles....which wouldn't fit a couple weeks ago. :D

I have some other bottles I need to inventory and maybe put together a swap thread posting.

It's not the end of the world....got lots to tide me over while I either get used to the new stuff, or find another. Taking a liking to Dunhall. Just wish the last puff was as good as the first puff with that flavor. It's odd....it fades pretty fast for some reason.

dunhall was the best out of my bacco shop imo.

burnt it dry and then i was sad:(

Darn. Sorry to hear, Maxx. I was expecting a happier ending for you and your Kant--you're one of the good guys. I'm sticking with the ugly-sister Kant... but then again, I never knew any better. Lucky for me. Good luck with your own search, pal.

I had high hopes but matching a flavor without a formula is tough. As a painter, I sometimes have to match an existing color and no matter how long you spend with a drop of this, and a drop of that....there is always a noticeable difference. Then they invented the paint spectrophotometer...and now all I do is take a paint chip to the paint store. :D

But, Maxx, there is always hope that they will screw it up again and recreate the true original Kant by mistake. As I see it, there is a very good chance of this actually happpening. ;)

Seriously, I feel your pain and hope that you'll find comfort, at least for some time, in your stash. Who knows, by the time you're done with it, you may be craving cinnamon bun. :D

It's a bummer....but I mainly wanted to get the whole thing sorted out in some fashion. It was getting hard to explain to new folks about the flavors since they are all over the place. I imagine I will find a replacement before my stash dwindles to nothing. ;)

And oddly enough....the classic Kant apparently wasn't very popular, so perhaps the new flavors will be. So from a the business point of view, it might not be bad. V4L did respond to my concerns/complaints and tried to remake the stuff....so an A for effort. And the "original Kant" in 30ml is vapeable....so I didn't lose any money. I'll survive. :D
