Then they invented the paint spectrophotometer...and now all I do is take a paint chip to the paint store. :D

I saw a show about how Jelly Belly produces their signature jellybeans. Most flavors were produced by gas chromatagraph - put food in one end, and the machine analyzes it, then produces a chemical profile of the flavor which can be reproduced faithfully and consistently.

I can't even begin to imagine how much one of those machines cost, let alone the staff necessary to operate it, but the thought has crossed my mind several times when people despair over changed flavors.

In pre-filled cartos, I prefer the same one you buy. They are white and listed as Premium Vapor King Kant Cartomizers (Box of 5) on the premium carto page. The newest stuff, that says "hint of menthol" is lower down on the same page and is listed as Premium Vapor King Original Kant Cartomizers (Box of 5) . They are silver-gray labels.

Maxx, as confusing as things were with so many versions of Kant menthol to begin with, what if they simply didn't know which one you're actually talking about? I wonder if the lab can actually send V4L one milliliter of each for you to test?

I thought about asking if they would be able to accept a 4 ml. sample from you, for them to know with unquestionable precision which flavor edition batch you're talking about, but I think the previous idea has more of a chance.

Suppose they're willing and able to correct your potion, but all that was missing was them sending U.S. Kant menthol experts a ml or so of their attempts to try out? I would be willing to test a few one ml samples of two or three other flavors :), but with Kant menthol I think you're the forum expert.

There was no Kant menthol....least not until today as I read the stock update. That's new. All of the Kants previous to today were regular...or should have been. There was confusion on which Kant we wanted reproduced early on and we tried to convey that using the batch dates from the 5ml bottles....which we then assumed leaford would get from V4L if he didn't already have them.

Now...at some point Leaford asked if what we wanted had a hint of menthol and we said no....no hint. What he was testing apparently did have that hint....since the new "Original Kant" in 30ml bottles does have this now. I don't know where the error occurred, but testing existing samples isn't likely to get us there in any case. It's not like a fruit flavor which everyone can determine. The formula needed to be written down somewhere, and we don't have that. I would rather not request yet another "original" as the area is already confused and so much extra work has already been done.

The Kant Menthol which just arrived is complete news to me. I didn't know it was being created and have not tried it....but that would make about 5 flavors of Kant now. For me...I continue to stockpile Classic Kant in 5ml bottles and have been hitting the Dunhall fairly regular now, so it's not like I will be vapeless anytime soon. ;)

Oh, ok, I thought Kant was menthol, it is confusing.

Now therefore I would like to try the Kants soon. I still want to find a non menthol tobacco flavor, I tried the cowboy low nic. 5ml when I started, but I still have half the bottle. It's too plain, and I rmember getting a mild battery taste. It's funny, because it's the same feeling I had sometimes when smoking Marloboro lights; I used to smoke both lights and menthols.

I'm sitting here vaping the basic white-label Kant, which I still enjoy and recommend. In fact, it's the only reg tobac I vape anymore. Now, should I try the silver label, with the touch of menth? Sounds good, but I may trust Maxx on this and stay away. But what about the new Menth version? If it's based on the white label, it sounds great. Decisions, decisions... what's a poor vaper to do?

"If you absolutely cannot stand any Kant at all....buy the premium (red) Kant in 30ml bottles....because it is nowhere near what true Kant is"

That was funny maxx.

--------------------------------------

jeffree, I will likely try Kants towards the end of May or early June, but I really don't even want to try a version that's becoming extinct.

Btw, I wonder if it's just as good to simply add your own menthol pick to a reg tobacco? Or can you end up with something totally weird?

Dunno about your second question, John, but your first one sent a chill down my spine. I've been so busy lately that I haven't thought through the Kant confusion. Until now. Are you guys saying that my prem white-label Kant is on its way out? Before I register the new STWLK Foundation! (not joking about that), tell me it ain't so. I beg you.

It's my understanding....and I could be wrong.....that eventually, the only Kant flavors we will have will be the two flavors currently in 30ml bottles. The premium (red) Kant....and premium Original Kant (yellow). The stuff that is currently in the premium Kant cartos (jeffree's fav) is niether of those and it isn't Classic either. It's a true orphan and I don't have a clue, not a damn clue, how it came to be.

This new Kant menthol doesn't interest me. I already have several menthols I like and some bottles of each. Besides...if I want kant menthol....I can always use the Original Kant bottle which seems to have some wayward menthol in it anyway. ;)

Save the White-Label Kant!

Can any of our great V4L crew help?

I will miss it greatly.

Although while my stash isn't as great as maxx - I do have a nice amount. ;) If I hadn't found other flavors by now that worked for me I'd be selling everything I own to go down to IL and buy them out.

I was sad as I placed my order. I love the premium Kant. I have a bottle of the new 'original' Kant with menthol, and I really don't want it. I'm one of those people who smoked only menthol analogs, but loves reg tobacco vapes. I really want to buy up all the prem Kant carts, but I figure it is an exercise in futility. I'm just putting off the disappointment. Oh, well...at least I won a manual passthrough :D :D

In a pinch....I could vape the new Original Kant, but not the premium red stuff. At first, I didn't like the white label cartos, but they grew on me. I realized it didn't make sense to buy blanks at almost the same price when I could just buy those cartos and re-use them. They are glued on hardcaps, but with a little effort, you can get them off.

Since I split vaping time with Dunhall and some menthol like Kool or Smilin....I can get 4 or 5 days out of 5ml classic Kant bottle. That gives me about 1 and a half years worth of classic if I stopped buying right now....which I haven't. ;)
