Hmm. I tried 2 different types of cartos, several different cartos of the same time, 4 different types of attys, including lr,sr and hv atties. Only 2 work, 1 being a super old atty I got with the riva and the other is the lavatube atty. Anything else won't work on it. I literally have to turn it back notches to get it to fire but the second I pull the driptip the atties move to the side and short it out. This really can't be a problem on my end as I get the same results with all different kinds of 510 accessories. Here's a question, Is anyone using a boge, smoktech, gh1, or joye atty or carto and has had no problem with the threading and has an atty that seats nicely and fires everytime? This can't be right. I am pretty sure having an atty that doesn't screw in all the way adds for leaking easier too which is annoying. I sent a ticket, god knows how long it will take to get the envelope, then send it to hawaii, then back to me, probably the same mod with nothing changed. It's gotta be a threading issue. Anyone else having problems?

Have you tried a stealth 510>510 adapter on it? With the variations in attys/carto's and mods the adapter will usually make the connection work.....also saves mod threads......just my nickel:)

and to fix mine i took a small flat head screw driver and hammer , hammered down the center post to make more room . theres still a small gap but its better than it was before . the lavatube is cheaply made

good fix.. I measured, then tried to press the pin with a screw driver and re-measured- no difference. (mine must've been seated all the way down properly during assembly)
and that small gap that remains is probably due to the center pin on the atty/carto.. I think

i have no firing issues with my lavatube so far. i've had it for one week and the battery life is awesome. the only leaking issues i have is with my tank not due to lavatube so yuh left it out of equation for my review. i have since posted my reviews as a blog in ecf. you can find it here.

aesthetic wise, u can't compare with provari. provari win hands-down.
function wise, other than having to throw u error msg and shuts down, lavatube wins by letting u to continue vape with the inbuilt protection system that auto turn down to the highest voltage allowed for ur atty etc which then again is a pro n a con at the same time becuz it doesn't let u vape at true 6v. mentioned this in my blog as well.

Just wanted to update this a bit. My Lavatube arrived in Honolulu today. Waiting to see what CS has to say about what they'll do for my issue. Dunno if they'll fix it, or just send me a new one. Will update when I hear back. In the meantime, stuck with my KGO.

Man that is a bummer, guess i got lucky not to get one with the threading issues.

I guess I have a completely opposite problem as everyone else. Or maybe I'm just ignorant. I have tried 3 different 18650 batteries with the flat top and I still cannot get my battery end cap to screw down all the way.
Does anyone have any advice on where to get a shorter flattop 18650. The one that fits the best so far is a Trustfire, it leaves the tiniest gap once screwed down.

This is completely cosmetic, my LT works great otherwise. I just think it would be nice for a $70 product that it fits together like it should.

"A note on 18650 batteries: 18650 batteries are 18mm in diameter and 65mm in length, hence the 18650 name. This device will work with all design spec 18650 batteries. What we mean by this is if your 18650 battery is longer than it should be (65mm) it may be too big, the nipple quite often pushes certain batteries over the 65mm size. The following batteries sold by us will work with the Lavatube: Lavatube 18650, High Drain 18650."

I was one of these very lucky guys! Got a silver LT where the center post was perfectly aligned, the end cap screws and unscrews like a charm and my attys and cartos screw perfectly on the connection. It's evident that the quality control is hit and miss and one should insist in a replacement that works correctly.
Apart from that, it's a great PV (for the price) to introduce one to the world of VV.
An improvement I noticed on mine compared to what I saw in the early videos, is that there is a proper vent hole on the end cap.

Updating for great justice! Got my replacement Lavatube today and it's night and day compared to my first unit. All attys I've tried so far have screwed down securely and the vape is 100 times better than with my first unit. The first was a dud. This one's a stud.

Glad everything worked out for you! I have had my black LT since the pre-orders shipped. It still looks and works great. I also have the silver LT. It also works and looks great. Both LT's have a nice tight atomizer connection. So, every atomizer and/or carto I have stuck on it is a nice tight fit. I actually can screw my attys out a bit for more airflow if I so choose to. Almost like an adjustable airflow aspect to it. Quite nice really.

Some attys and/or carto style tanks can seem a bit off tilter, but if you are careful you can slowly adjust straightness to your liking. I've been doing this now for quite some time and my connections are still tight and work great. :)

I just order me a LavaTube on Monday. Should arrive by Thursday. I sure hope all my 510s work correctly. Im pretty excited about the higher voltage ecig. Been using 3.7 volts for the past 13 months. I will post my experience with the 510 fittings. Im just hoping that Penopolis got a dud. Sorry bout that!!!! Hopefully yours will be exchanged out.
