The little cartomizer that could?

Ok, so I've got this wow cartomizer I've been using for about 2 weeks. It works fantastically. It still tastes pretty good. I keep topping it off with Wowboy 18. I'm also using other flavors throughout the day so its not like I've only vaped this one for 14 days.

Here's my question. Is there any reason I should be discarding a cartomizer after a certain period of time? Maybe bacteria could build up or something?

I've had other similar ones that have burnt on me so I know what a burnt one tastes like etc., but this one just keeps on going.

If it's still working and doesn't taste funky, I don't see any reason to toss it yet!

Pg and vg are antibacterial Jbankston sir, so no need to worry about that. It's the clogged or burned filler which leads to vapor production decrease or awful taste, and the heating element burning out that usually dictates when it's time to throw a carto out....

I must be a lucky one! So far I have only had to throw One Cartomizer away in the 2 months that I have been vaping. Of course, I have watched Every Video that Snowdragon has posted about taking care of our Cartos, so maybe that is why I am getting such good life out of them!

Man, I'm impressed! My first two months or so of (chain)vaping I think I burned almost all of my cartos (was just too stubborn to "give them up," plus I hadn't yet ventured into top-off or re-fill land . . .)

You're in good company El....it was the same for me. Especially when I would vape a Carto for an hour or so with my batteries...then toss it on a Passthrough. A recipe for a quickly burnt carto if there ever was one.

Since those days I learned to only use my PT or higher voltage mods on freshly topped off or refilled Cartos.

Eleanor - I was in the same boat. There really is a lot to learn if you are trying to reduce your costs and reuse carts, fill your own etc. It took me awhile to get there. When just starting I think sometimes best using prefilled carts..then.. Once you are hooked...then it's time to refill

But what about the cap and the outsides of the cartos? They go in our mouths, there must be some sort of build up of bacteria happening?

katz, I am always cleaning those off with alcohol...... the drip tips too. And don't forget the inside of the drip tip: you'd be surprised how stuff accumulates in there!

Technically there is Ms. Katz, but you're also breathing in vaporized pg or vg which should negate the issue of it. Your mouth is the best defended part of your body to disease actually, between the protiens in your saliva and all the far worse bacteria that resides in it....
