Lately, I've been thinking about those crappy clear cartomizers that I had a chance to try from other suppliers. The idea behind them is sound, but because of the materials used and the lack of good wicking, the clear ones are not something I'm going to use. They crack and leak all over the place. They also taste burnt really fast because juice is not able to keep up with the rate of vaporization.

My question is thus: Has there been any thought in taking the idea of clearomizers, and improving upon it by V4L?

V4L leads the pack when it comes to other types of 808 cartomizers, so I'd imagine that they would be able to put their engineers to work in improving the problems with clearomizers. It would be great to see how much juice is left in a carto, so I know when it's time to refill.

I have been curious why cartos were made of such quality metal in the first place when they're disposible. If you've ever tried to cut open one of these you'll know what I mean. Seems like a molded plastic would suffice, and have it clear. Granted you'd have to have the battery connector metalic to conduct electricty from the battery and rather than steel use aluminum.

I've actually had pretty good luck with Clearomizers once I figured out that you really need to snip the openings for the wick on the silicone cap. And honestly, I like them far more than cartos since I can actually see how much juice is left... I tend to burn every single cartomizer I use because I take big hits and don't realize I burned them till they are ruined.

I've been using the same 3 1ml clearomizers for over 3 weeks and have refilled them about once every other day. I also have some of the xl clearomizers and they have been working wonderfully... no leaks at all... But I baby these things because they look fragile... My wife pulled one apart on accident the first time and made a mess... but since then, no problem at all.

Yesterday, I chose to pull them apart to really give them a thorough cleaning and dry burn. They are actually even better after that...

Trying some of the new Vortex carts I just received... wow... those things work pretty well... nice hit and great flavor production... of course it's V4L juice... Milk Chocolate Macadamia nut... yummy!

It all comes down to performance with the current set up Darrigaaz sir... Not all the new tech is 100% compatible with the current technology... When they find something better, they'll go with it... I'm sure of that....

The clearomizers I have tried are compatible with V4L batteries... I'm just asking if V4L has any plans on taking these new types of carts and improving on them. V4L has been the forerunner in improving KR808 designs for a long time now, and I just want to know if that kind of improvement-based thinking is going to be applied to clear cartos.

We have tried a few of them, but out of the box they do not perform well IMO. Anything is possible, and they are on our radar. But the ones I've tried don't wick fast enough

One tip I found was to pull the silicone cap over the atomizer and snip the cutouts for the wick just a touch. Once I did that, they started wicking enough to keep up with me... and I'm a huffer these days...

There is no doubt though that they need some work to make them a bit more robust... and the atty crusts up pretty quick depending on the juice..

Good to know they are on your radar. I don't think many people are finding that the current ones out there perform well at all, which is why I'm hoping V4L picks them up and is able to work their magic on them.

I dont care for the fluxos or clearos at all.Burnt Yucky taste.

But if they were of V4L quality, without the burnt yucky taste, would they be appealing? They seem to be just as cheap as regular cartos to produce.

I'm going to try this suggestion. Thank you.

Since you asked... (and mind you I am not a hardcore vaper)... I think they are kinda gross - I prefer disposable cartomizers. It's ok to refill a couple times... but after that - I am of the mindset that over-recycling in this arena is just not my cup of tea ;)

Dave

Oh, I'm not thinking that any clearomizers produced and sold by V4L would be any more permanent than the cartos currently sold.. In fact, probably less refills each time since washing out a "contained" system would be a lot harder than just running tap water through the top. But I would still buy them if they were V4L quality and I knew I could get even just 4-5 refills of the same flavor outta one.
