@Morandir. I just hadn't seen that part of Katz's question answered in this particular thread. I'm skimming around this morning, so I may have missed it.

Good to know about the voltage curve on the King Diamond batteries though. Sign of a a good battery if they hold a solid voltage till the very end. Makes sense what you were saying about the diamonds staying high for longer judging by Katz's comment. Do you know if the smaller diamond batteries hold to that as well?

Edit: Any chance you know the mAh ratings on the various diamond lengths too?

The king diamonds stay above 3.7 longer than the older models but they only drop below 3.7v near the very end of their life cycle. The regulated batts made by a couple other companies are the ones that stay at 3.6v....
Hmm, thanks M'Dir, that explains why I thought my diamonds burned cartos quicker than my other batteries. Interesting that the science backs up my gut feelings. If I want to prolong a carto at the moment I reach for my XLs. I only have 2, the rest are shorties.

From my test Ms. Katz the regular batts start at 4.2 still, but on average the shorties drop to 3.7 within 20 minutes of constant use, the regulars 33 minutes of constant, and the xl's 41.... I've tarred three of each type of those batts to get my average. The king diamonds routinely stay above 3.9 for a good majority of their life span... When I get on my computer tomorrow I can post those figures if you like... :)

I may be overly cautious, but if I'm using any battery (or even a passthrough) I drop a few drops into the carto every hour or so whether the taste changed or not. If I take my drip tip off and the filling doesn't look "squishy" on top I add a 3-5 drops until it does look squishy.
And snowdragon recently posted an excellent way to check to see if the carto's burnt before trying to clean it or re-use it....fill an empty juice bottle with water and just drop water into the filling. If water starts to drip quickly out of the battery hole, then it's burnt and should be discarded. If you're able to get several drops of water in the carto without the battery end dripping, it's probably not burnt and you can clean & dry it well....

It is an amazing work of rhime, though I am not sure if he achieved his goal to justifie the wayes of God.

The words do have a near perfection of flow that at least support his contention that he was divinely inspired.

Have you heard of, or read the book "God's Demon"? It incorporates many elements of Paradise Lost and purports that there is redemption available to even the fallen demons of hell. It is an above average work of fantasy fiction and I would recommend it.
