I was ridiculously excited to hear others are being asked when they're getting rid of their PVs too (rolls eyes) My DH got an earful the other night - and I have to say, while I'd like to ditch nicotine completely, I'm not committed to getting rid of the PV! I started Aug 2 and feel like I've met my new BFF!

When working landscaping with a regular cig, gets in my freaking way. So now with an ecig, all I gotta do is put back in my pocket without having a blazing pants of mad dancing inferno, and pull back out vaping again at any time.

ECIG CHEAT CODE: for theaters or other similar environments: put ecig through plastic top of empty cup and suck on it as if a straw to become the ninja vaper.

i dont have to worry about catching a bail of hay on fire in the back of my truck if i accidentally threw out a cigarette .... from the window (yes it has happened to me before)

A couple of months ago, I was outside smoking. Thought my .... had landed in the .... can, but it went on the ground, and I the next morning i go out, and several bags of cement had burned along with the grass around them. I was lucky; they were right next to the house. I could have burned our house. That was scary.

you can ditch nicotine completely, just titrate down your ejuice nicotine content until you are down to zero nicotine, and you can still vape away nicotine free.
i prefer a bit of nicotine, to keep my BMR up, avoid weight gain, and for the stimulant properties (just like a cup of coffee). im just happy to have healthy lungs (as direct proof, i just had surgery yesterday, and the CRNA (anesthesia provider) said that when he pulled my ETT (endotracheal tube), it was CLEAN. no gunk, no mucous, no tobacco residue. see what one month smoke free does?
(i have seen some really nasty ETT's from smokers. if smokers only had an opportunity to see the junk that sits at the bottom of their lungs, cuz their cilia cant propel it out, they would quit!)

See, yes, I was fated to find E-cigs the other day for the 1st time and to find this forum as well! ALL these posts just solidify the reasons I wanted an alternative. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE smoking, what do i HATE about it:
1.) THE COST! 8.35 a pack x 7 x 2 (me and hubby)THAT is an exotic vacation!
2.) The headaches! I have a daily at the end of day headache from too much!
3.) Having to go outside or in the garage and the SMELL of the garage YUCK!
4.) BREAKING a 40 year habit that has cost me so much flipping money!
5.) No more GLARES
6.) Being able to run...I can now, but I'm sure it will become MUCH easier!
7.) Just not having all the crap, lighters, ashtrays, ashes etc..

You all said it and now I can't WAIT for my delivery! I was hesitant thinking "yeah right, I'm gonna waste more money!", but having you guys and gals, well, I don't think I can fail! And the ability to stealth vape is gonna be so much fun! hee hee, yeah I may be 50, but I'm still a REBEL!

Welp, thanks again folks!

awesome! you are gonna love vaping so much that you will not miss those analog smokes. even if you end up spending more on your ejuices and hardware, because you enjoy vaping so much, you will be spending a WHOLE lot less on your healthcare issues that you would develop if you get COPD/emphysema, lung cancer etc! i spend money on my vaping stuff with no guilt!
btw, i cant believe ciggies cost almost double in your state compared to Texas!

Reading through the 30 pages of comments here, I'm seeing all the GREAT reasons I bought my eGo kit two days ago. I just had my second baby 5+ weeks ago, and although I've been given a good bill of health from my doctor (had a chest xray a few month back), I want to quit the analogs so I can stay that way and see my kids grow up and spending time with my lovely wife that's 10 years younger than me.

But beyond the health reasons, I bet it will help me with:
1. Snoring
2. Stinking clothes
3. Ruining the inside of my new car

Just checked my tracking number. Looks like my eGo was delivered in today's mail. Can't wait to get home!
