I have a huge local extended family that I spend large parts of several days with during the winter holidays. I have never smoked around them. Holidays have come to mean hours and hours of withdrawals, for me. This year I can enjoy spending time with my family!

Good points! I am the ONLY one the last several years (sis in law is never there with us, she lives out of town), and am curious how this year might be different... will they allow me to sneak a vape in, or will I still feel the obligation to step outside in the cold/rain/snow this holiday season... Even if I do, when I return, I won't be feeling quite so guilty and smelly ;o) And I know they'll be happier with this choice than anything - hmmmm... almost like a cheap present for them, not having to smell me!

For the first time since I started vaping someone asked for a light, and I realized I didn't have one anymore. :)

I love being able to give my son a big hug and kiss without the smell and chemicals getting on to his cute little face.

Not hearing my wife tell me to quit....She might start telling me to buy less juice soon though hehe

Getting more kisses from the wife since I don't smell like cigs, also its kind of cute when I kiss her right after I vape and she smacks her lips and goes mmm cherry.

Being able to breathe!!!!!

Not feeling like someone is ripping my lungs out in the morning having that first vape.

Turning smokers on to vaping. I have been vaping for only a month and a women I work with and a girl I go to college with have each bought kits!

And the best thing about not smoking is meeting some really helpful, and funny people on ECF!!

Things I will not miss:
I will not miss the yellow sheen on the inside of my car windshield
The FAKE coughing my Sister does if she thinks i'm smoking..... I haven't' even lit my cigg yet and she starts hacking p.i.t.a.
The lecture from my doctor every single time i see her.
My son asking me to quit smoking for him.... he's 8

Things i am now happy to enjoy
lots of yummy new flavors to vape
getting my nic fix wherever i darn well please (discreetly of course)
rubbing my extra pin money in my still smoking hubby's face hehehe .... what? you didn't have enough money left for McDonald's? well if you would quit SMOKING then you would still have money now wouldn't you?

Being able to drive in the rain without getting wet!

Found out today, I still tend to crack the window open - more habit? Or - it does help the VG heavy vapor dissipate faster ;o)

not sizzling the right side of my hair trying to light a cigarette on the stove burner because my DANG lighter went dead. It's almost all one length again! YaY

LoL - I have been trying for years to grow my bangs out, but they never seem to get past - the length of a cig hanging out of my mouth. WooHoo! Maybe soon they'll meet the rest of the length!

It hasn't been a week and I've already discovered so many reasons to fall in love with my PV.

Some things I don't think were mentioned in the previous 68 pages of awesomeness:

  • I don't kick myself now when I finish one smoke, feel unsatisfied, and light up another one. I simply vape until I'm satisfied and then stop instead of delimiting my nicotine intake by arbitrary stick lengths. I also don't have to count what I've got left and decide if I want to save it for later.
  • When I'm drinking with my buddies I don't plow through three packs of smokes and end up smoking theirs -- making me feel like a leech while also not really enjoying their brand/flavor
  • Not worrying about every little bump or sore in my mouth or throat is the beginning of some cancer that is going to leave my head horribly disfigured
  • Never having to see the disgusting pictures of cancer/gangrene/miscarriages that they print on cigarette packages here in Singapore
  • Not having to fight my way to the ash bin through my coworkers who huddle around it like moths to a flame
  • My fingers will never again brush somebody else's soggy .... while I'm extinguishing my cigarette in some over-stuffed bin
  • Never having to look for an ash bin period (you will get fined for littering here if you just flick it)
  • I don't need to worry about the kids playing with my lighters.
  • I don't need butane cans, zippo fluid, flints, or wicks only to find out that I forgot to use them in time half way through the day and end up bumming a light from strangers
I fear I'm going to become a vapor zealot. My best friend and I spent hours talking about my PV the other night instead of arguing about politics, work, or philosophy.

I am constantly stumbling upon fantastic advantages over my old analog ways. I love this thing so much I am actually giddy about it.

Since I have a bronchitis, it's wonderful not having to hear the MD getting all over my case. Nag, nag, nag.
Feeling much better in the AM. Watching others looking at me and really wondering if they should but not saying anything.
Not getting a nasty rash from patches. Not having to move to the exhaust fan each time I puffed.
AND BEST OF ALL--finally getting my wife to try it out and had success.
