I've only been off analogs for one day, and it's probably in my mind, but I think I'm breathing better already. Also, I don't smell like an ash tray.

It may be in your head.......but if it's in yours it was in mine as well... I started vaping on June 16 (149 days ago!!! 8497 analogs I have NOT smoked! I smoked three packs a day) around a month prior to that I had been diagnosed with pleurisy...which is VERY painful...it's an infection of the lining of your lungs that causes extreme pain on inhalation..so...smoking was as painful as breathing. The day I started with my ecig........there was NO pain......If it was just in my head......OK no pain is no pain whether in my head or in reality LOL

No more lighting the "wrong" end (we all have done this) then cussing because it is ruined and can't be smoked.

Worrying that if I ran out, would someone allow me to bumb one until I could pay them back.

No more burning holes in my carpet because I didn't make it to the ashtray in time.

No more accidently spilling the ashtray all over the place.

Never having to deal with burning someone. (unintentionally that is.)

I was about to put a cig out in an ashtray outside of a 'public place' and a lady with her children came running by ... WAAAAH!, I heard a scream, I looked down and could still see the red hot ember stuck to his arm as he learned the smoker's "Get it off! Get it off!! Get it off!!!" Dance.. Then absolute hell breaking lose.. "You burnt my child, you scumbag, ......., Junkie!" echoed for miles around for about 15 minutes. Only thing I was glad for was 1. It wasn't going to kill him & 2. I wasn't wearing my work I.D. badge. :p

(Sadly, a true story)

Main thing for me is I do not feel so tired anymore. I have so much more energy.. I sleep a few hours less every day now and feel way better.. That is #1 for me...

It is also quite nice not having to go out in the cold, heat, rain, etc to smoke (but I still can to socialize if im bored), my taste buds are much improved, no mess from ashes, clothes dont smell, i vape while i work retail (stealth) so nice.. all sorts of stuff..

No more empty packs in the back seat of my jeep...I was always embarrassed when I needed a trashbag to clean out my jeep every few weeks...pack after pack in the bag....oh man

I hear ya on that one! My car used to look like an garbage can for empty packs and soda cans! Oh, and the ashes everywhere from being blown back by cracking the window open...ugh. Now it smells great and looks great! I can go to my auto club gatherings without shame!

1Vaping yummy flavors that also satisfy my sweet tooth now instead of tasting like I'm licking an ashtray
2 Waiting for new flavors to steep so that I can try them
3. Waiting to recieve new flavors in the mail
4 Reading the reviews of people who are excited about new flavors
5 Trying to figure out new flavors on my own by mixing my pre-mixes lol
This is kinda like Christmas time year round!!!! And most of all, being able to breathe way better!!

15 years ago I went to a program to stop smoking. One of the things we had to do was make a list of why we wanted to quit. I just came across mine:

No brown walls to clean
Clothes will smell better
Poeia and Patience (pet birds) have little lungs
Can stop compulsively checking ashtrays when leaving the house
I'm spending a very nice trip to Europe on cigarettes each year
Could climb a flight of stairs without getting winded
If I could breathe better, I could exercise and lose weight
Better skin with no soot layer
Reduce or clear up allergies
I don't want to get heart disease
I don't want to get cancer
I don't want to get emphysema
I'm tired of having soot all over my toilet
People can stop commenting on something that isn't any of their business
Empty cigarette packs are everywhere
It monopolizes my time - having to go out for them, look for them, where did I leave them...
No more getting dressed at bedtime just so I'll have cigs in the morning
No more fire paranoia, especially when I accidentally flip over an ashtray
No more soot pile at entrance to living room
Washing ashtrays is disgusting!
No more wall of smoke after the ventilation systemgoes off at night
More energy
Committing suicide (however slowly) is a stupid form of rebellion
Pride. I've told too many people I'm doing this.
No more standing on the fire escape

Other than the fact that I still haven't gotten all the walls clean nor have I lost weight, everything else on the list came true. It just took me a little longer to get there.

As someone about to receive their first Vapor, an eGo, this thread makes me very, very happy.

It only gets better. Welcome to ECF! Soon, you will be adding something to the list.

Another for me . . . people think I'm a super hero for quitting smoking; when, in truth, it was easy with my pv!
