Last night at the dinner table at Chili's I vaped at the table. Suddenly all of my friends had to get up, and go outside for a "smoke break". It's heavenly to be able to be able to stay warm inside while still getting my nic fix on. (but it was almost like I missed a baby social event with the girls). weird.

I am so digging the way I don't stink anymore. I was in the post office yesterday in line, and a lady came in and walked up behind me and the smell just permeated the whole room. I just cringed, because I know I used to smell the same way. It just embarasses me so bad.

My son has complained that other kids tell him his booksack smells like smoke. I've even had another child's dad take my daugther's sleeping bag and pillow and wash them as soon as she came in the house. Makes me want to crawl under a table just thinking about it.

awesome idea-about cutting and pasting all the replies. if she reads all the advantages to vaping, maybe she will be open to giving it a shot. if i can quit smoking analogs, ANYONE can. i was a chain smoker, major nicotine addict. 27 years pack plus a day.

Me too~!!! Smoked 2-3 packs a day for 49 YEARS~!!! Loved smoking. Absolutely REFUSED to quit. No amount of social pressure or health issues could "make me" quit. Fortunately I was "curious" about vaping since I could get my nicotine and the behavior of "smoking" too! Totally worked for me but this forum also convinced me that it was possible for a heavy smoker to quit. I've quit for one month!

I showed my e-cig to a doctor yesterday and vaped for him. He asked me to write up an informational handout (and personal testimonial) for him to give to his patients! We need to get the medical professions behind us ... otherwise the politicians and the environmentalists will take these away from us. Ignorance from others may get laws passed to thwart this wonderful alternative.

I'm going to get active!

THE, Memphis was one of my hubs so I was there often when I was flying and I always smoked at the Blue Note Cafe. You had to buy at least a beverage to sit inside, but they were the only place that allowed smoking. It's been a few months, so I don't know if they've changed the policy now. But just thought I'd share as an FYI in case they still allow smoking. It's located in the terminal connector area between terminals A and B...I think. I got to know my airport smoking areas (of the very few that still have them) pretty well after a few years of flying. :2cool:

Yes, the Blue Note Cafe still allows smoking with a purchase. I travel a LOT and I even have a "Memo" on my Palm called "Airport Smoking Areas" ... it has EVERY airport I have ever been to, whether there is an inside smoking area, and if so, exactly where it is located~!!! How's THAT for addiction?

LOL! I had a layover at LAX once, they have a "smoking atrium" outside of one of the terminals. I was waiting at a terminal on the other side of the airport :( so I kept having to jog the 1/2 mile or so to the smoking area.... and our plane was delayed so I wasn't even sure if I'd miss my plane by taking the chance to leave my terminal. My hubby is a very patient non-smoking man. :)
