The m201 still rocks, so why doesn't anyone use it anymore?

It is a wonderful atomizer. Unfortunately, it is not compatible with anything else (including with other penstyle batteries or, I believe, with X-to-801 adapters). The skinny penstyle batteries are pretty limiting: much lower mAh than the 650+ mAh fat batts ... and lower voltage than the 3.7V skinny 808 battery, Elite 808, many fat batts, and virtually all mods.

Because I was (and still am) so enamored with the 801-type atomizers (and now cartomizers), I tried out virtually all of them (including the M201). My favorite has been East Mall's 801 (regular or LR, atty or carto), available here in the states from Vapor Junction. It can be used with all 801-type batteries (including your M201 batt) and with the X-to-801 adapters.

Someday someone will come out with an 801 fat batt. Until then, I am quite content to use 801 attys and cartos with adapters on my 510 (or 808/901)-connector fat batts and mods. Those 801s (mainly LR) run neck and neck in my affection with the Elite 808, Smok Tech 1.7 Mega Single Coil, and Leo. [BTW, the Leo atty or carto also is not compatible with anything else, but it comes with its own 800 mAh battery. That Leo PV is the most 801-like of all fat batts and, if anything, delivers an even deeper, richer vaping experience than the penstyle attys/cartos.]
