Good deal 67tele! Not sure what you mean on wrapping the tabs thing? Do you mean mounting the coil? I love the ease of build on this thing. I have had none easier than this.

I'll snap a pic or two when I rebuild it tonight. Probably do a 4/5 wrap and see how that turns out.

Yeah, catching the wire around the tabs on positive. At first I was taking the screw all the way out and couldn't get them to stay. The next morning after a good nights rest I only unscrewed it part way and it was so much easier. It was about 2 minutes to make the coil and mount it. Another minute to admire my handy work...hehe.

Thanks

Ok, yeah, that's what I thought you meant. It makes for such an easy build. I don't remove the screw completely myself either like Phil did in his video.

I'll be getting a bf'd clone from chowderhead as well, but have noticed that most of y'all are using 26g, some 28. The only kanthal I have right now is 30g, will this be difficult? Should I get some 26 or 28? I'll likely be building in the 1.5 - 2 ohm range, will try single and dual

Have been wanting one for awhile now, so glad to see most are loving it!

Just twist your 30ga, ohms out about the same as 28ga.

Thanks. Haven't tried twisting, but may give it a shot. heard today that some folks are preferring it at sub ohm, will just have to play with it I reckin and see what I like. But good to know where other's are finding that sweet spot on it. I'm pretty new to rebuilding.

Hey
I've only done vertical coil on mine. I cut about an 1/8" - 3/16" wide KGD, pulled both thicker sides off then place the middle of the wick over the coil and use the smallest drill bit i have to push it folded down the coil. Sometimes I need to pull a sliver more off the KGD if I'm getting too much resistance. Been using a 4mm coil and am finding that if I don't stuff it with KGD it's working a lot better. Since it's single coil I put a little strip of cotton in the empty well.

I love this dripper!

Ive been messing around with wicking, but i still can't seem to find a satisfying method that wicks well.

Problem is that the top of the wick is drying out much faster than the bottom so there is just a concoction of juice down in the well that isn't being fully vaporized. I've had better luck with a single coil but i am still trying to find the best method!

Let me know what you guys have found
