It is - I'm just not sure switching from ProVari to the iStick will impress me .

If you already own a Provari for regulated vaping, why not pick up a mechanical like the REO? Then you'll have a basic well made mod from each category.

Unless you want higher wattage than 15

ProVari is as good as gone. Sold to coworker (see above) and got the VS rDNA 40. I have a couple mech mods already though.

I'm impressed with the iStick family, not only for stealth vaping but as a main mod. There's nothing I can't do with them yet (20W, 2-30W, and 50W coming)...well, except a .2 ohm build...but that will be addressed with the 50W. Batteries last, pushes the power, and it's pretty accurate...and I got my 30W for $30...so there's that too!

You won't be disappointed, I'm truly impressed with the battery life of the Vapor Shark rDNA 40.

And you certainly can't go wrong with any iStick models, their great little mods.....:toast:

I definitely feel like a little kid again. Excited for my products to arrive! Thanks to everyone in this thread with advice and their opinions.

Update: Coworker is buying my ProVari with 5 batteries, charger, an mini nautilus for $175. Bought the VS rDNA 40 and iStick Mini 10w. Basically came out even.

Good choice, I recently purchased my VS rdna 40 and have no regrets. It's pocket friendly and it charges quickly. Now I don't have a vapesox, bottle of juice, and battery container shapes showing throw my slacks lol. Now there's just a box and tank shape

Totally not looking to get flamed, this is entirely because I want to know. Why buy a vapor shark at the prices they are? What can it do better then say a iStick 50? I'm Just curious. I understand the temp monitoring is pretty cool, and curious as to how it changes how you vape. But aside from that.... That's a nice piece of kit, but it's pretty expensive when comparing it to some others.

No reason to get flamed for asking a question. The istick is a good choice and a great bang for the buck. The other devices are bought for the reputation of the solid board and they also have a following, much like the istick has a following these days. With the American mods you typically get a higher level of customer service and if problems arise they are more likely to get the service RMA# versus just going in the trash without much helpful response from the manufacturer.

Much like with any purchase there are a lot of factors and sometimes you get what you pay for, and sometimes there is a great value in spending less. Not to say this is the case with the istick versus the VS but sometimes a person might go through 3, 4, and 5 devices while the person who spent more upfront only has the one for that duration. Just a matter of personal preference, budget, and desires.

Thanks for the response. I Know at times a question like that would get flamed about being cheap or... I can understand what you are saying, and would like to actually see and play with some of the nicer mods like that. I'm still new to vaping but learning fast. I have a iStick 30W which was my upgrade from the ego. I will have to research the VS line to get a better feel for it, and it's advantages.
