I've pretty much only used 510s and after 70 days, only one of my original 6 attys has kicked the bucket. I clean them weekly with a basic blow-out and a quick squirt of vodka, and they all work as good as new.

Maybe I'm just lucky, but my 510 attys just work great. The batteries, on the other hand... well, let's just say that I am glad I use mods only now, and that my stock batteries are sitting in a drawer to hopefully never be used again.

MCL5000, you probably got lucky and got some good atties. The first two atties I got were great. I threw on away by accident, and then cleaned the other one. You're right, the cleaning may have taken some life out of it, because it wasn't as good afterwards.

That's always a possibility, too. Never know. I really think the way I rotate through the two of them is helping their life too.

I assume your "Giantfan" name is referring to football? The top of the NFC East feels great...hows 3rd? :p

Haha yeah, Angus. I'm still on my first 2 attys but I've been through about 6 batteries. Can't wait for my Chuck to come! :D

You're going to be a very happy camper, just wait and see. :) Two days (at least) on a single battery charge is "the bee's knees".

My parents should get their Chucks today, which is a good thing. Their 510 batteries were down to lasting them less than a half an hour on a charge. That has to suck.

Add me to the list of people who is still using his first two 510 atomizers.
Been using them for nearly five months now, although to be fair I am a light vaper.

And to be a bit more fair, I have also been using two 306 atomizers for about three months now.
I use the 510s with my cartridges and the 306s for dripping and dipping.

And yes, I use each set for a week and then clean them.
Each week I switch to the other set of atomizers while I clean the ones I was using that week.
So each atomizer is getting used for a week and then cleaned, and then rests for a week.

I use a Diet Coke bath to clean them, then soak them in water overnight.
Then they get a whole week to dry.

Where are you based? US? UK? Other? (with regard to suppliers)

Vapour & throat hit wise, the EVO is only marginally less than my Titans were, but not as much as some 510 users would have you believe. In fact with a 2 month old atty & a brand new Mega 510 battery I was getting a bigger hit & more vapour from a 3 month old atty & month old battery on my EVO.

Actually, I'm living in Germany at the moment (but I'm American).

Interesting. You might be right. I think a lot of 510 users give immediate praise. I know, I did. In fact, it seems to plague this entire industry. People giving too much praise to products or suppliers. After my research, I left thinking the 510 was the one and only.

I don't know of any mainland Europe M401 suppliers, but Electronic Cigarettes, Electric Cigarette, E-Cigarettes, E-Cig, E-Liquid (where I get my EVOs) will ship to Germany.

On reading this forum (I was a lurker a long time before I signed up) & TW's forum I really thought a 510 would be for me. How wrong I was.

If you have any questions on the EVO or M401s in general, feel free to PM me.

The main reasons people were recommending the 510 model...

1) They have a manual battery
2) They have a PCC available

Now they all have manual batteries available.
And most of them now have PCCs available as well.

Exactly. The 510 'moved' the industry. And it isn't just 'immediate praise' either - there's continuing praise as well, with only a few that post here who have abandoned it and then not entirely. Even people moving to mods want the 510 style or an adapter if they started with the 510.

BTW, I also use the 306 on my Protege for certain flavors (thanks to Gatsby originally). I have a blank cart/moutpiece and drip through the hole with a (blunt) needle tip squeeze bottle. Pretty convenient even while driving ;-)
