Both songs are very old, but I still like them.

I only like their first album (Whites Off Earth Now) as it has very little of the 'country' sound to it. I'm afraid country/western in it's purer forms is anathema to me, although I recognize that some performers of it are very talented (Willie Nelson, Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, etc.). It's something about the bass-line.... Reggae bugs me in almost the same way.
And most Mono tunes are similar to the one I posted, except for a couple off their recent albums. They have gotten progressively more.... optimistic (?), and use some strings on their recent stuff. I prefer a more contemplative or misanthropic sound. Happy music never sounds cool to me. And I need cool. I agree with the earlier Within Temptation suggestion, these are a couple of the songs that really got me listening to them. I have all of their albums and enjoy every song on them. Some of their songs get dark such as the frozen video

I love the Within Temptation songs! But, I didn't watch the entire video for Frozen; I just listened to the song. I was worried about what was going to happen after hearing the word 'sacrifice.'

I just heard this singer on SNL a month or so ago, and have been hooked on her music ever since. It's totally not my "normal" taste, but her lyrics are fun to sing along and she has a great voice.
