Where did you see these? I have been searching and searching for a US seller who has the New 2009 model 901 in stock. Also, does this new model come yet in any colors other than black and white? Please help.

Not sure what denotes new or old models, but I recently got a kit and some parts from bestecig. The batteries were definitely mic switch (nearly fried an atomizer in my pocket around some network gear!), but the atomizers seem the same as the others I have. I also contacted heavens gifts, and they do have the pressure switch model, which is what I'm going to stick with.

The new model battery is female. IE: The atomizer screws into it, instead of on to it....

Looking at the litecig pics of this I'd suggest that it's the "old" EM901 from David Yang that Smilin at Vapor4Life bought a boat load of.

Draw on it was so bad.he discontinued them and is selling what sets he has left for $30 a pop...$40 with the USB passthru included.

No, it's not. Them are fighting words, comparing it to what Smilin' has. Don't get me going on that guy....

Actually the draw on the new 901 (J118 model number) is very easy, slightly easier than a 510. I'm a HUGE 510 fan and I can honestly say that the VX2 Shawn at LITECIG USA sells is very comparable to the performance of my beloved 510. I alternate between the two as I'm vaping each day...

are the carts interchangeable?

Although the carts will fit diameter wise, the depth when inserted is different. So the answer is no then. The new 901 cart also has a larger capacity for liquid than the original.

If you were asking if the new 901 and 510 carts are interchangeable the answer is the same. Diameter wise they fit, but the depth is different.

If the "new" 901 is the same as the J118, then I can find no US supplier who has them on their site in Red or Blue. Everything else I have is black; I don't like the traditional white; and I'm just not attracted to silver. I can see them on sites in China, but am afraid of US customs snatching a box like a starter set would be. A coupon of places in Europe have them, but I don't know if this is a good customs dodge or not (plus they are more expensive with shipping than I believe a US sold one would be - combo of weak US dollar for exchange and higher shipping).

When I look at the US sites, all I see are the older DSE901 style (no mention of being new and battery is also clearly male and not female as reported). No one in US that I can find advertises the J118.

I don't want to be a pest in this thread, but I dearly would love to find one of these babies in red or blue (it doesn't matter which). Ideas? Suggestions? Has anybody seen them on US site?

Thank you to one and all who help in my quest. You folks are the best!

Hello all this is my first post, so please go easy on me. I am a little confused about the "new" DSE901. I ordered the VX2 from LiteCigUSA and am still waiting for it. I also ordered 20 empty cartridges. Now I eventually found myself at a website called CoolSmokeShop. They are selling the "J-118" which people have referred to as the new 901. But it says on the page where you buy the kit this bit of information, "The J118B Deluxe Kit is made specifically for users of Electronic Cigarettes that simply want to pop a new cartridge onto the atomizer and go. Featuring an enclosed cartridge, it is not refillable.
The cartridge made for this E-Cig kit is enclosed in a plastic sleeve that is inserted into the inhaler tube and slid over the atomizer, which punctures the tin foil cover. This ingenious design provides longer use because more liquid can be housed in the G2 cartridge and is much less likely to evaporate when not in use."
The kit looks basically EXACTLY like the VX2 I ordered, except the kit I ordered does indeed give the option to add extra EMPTY cartridges to it of which I ordered 20. Can anyone shed some light on the claim the cartridges are not refillable as I always buy blanks and add my oen E-liquid. And are both of these models the same thing, or they the "new" DSE901. And if they are they new DSE901, why are they called the new 901 since they are not interchangeable with the original DSE901 at use all new parts. I don't understand why people are saying they are the new 901. Thanks for any help anyone can provide and shed some light on my many quandaries lol

Hi. This is also my first post and I just bought a VX2 from LiteCig as well (haven't received it yet though). If I'm stepping on toes, please let me know.

I don't know if it's buyer's remorse or what, but I feel like the VX2 is NOT the "NEW" 901. If you read the verbage on LiteCigUSA for the VX2, you'll see it doesn't say it's the "new 901" but it's the "newest edition to the 901 style". II'm guessing LiteCigUSA made their own version of the 901. Also due to the non-interchangeable parts, VX2 owners are going to have to buy all their parts from LiteCigUSA. Kinda bunk, but if it hits like a champ. I guess I'm for it?

I do believe the VX2 is the J-118. Even the pictures are the same. If you look at the picture on LITECIGUSA, you will see the red, black, blue, and white models. And on the atomizer you can see a large "J" engraved followed by what looks like 118. I believe that this is just the name for the J118 on LITECIGUSA's shop. Either way I have read excellent reviews for this cigarette, and it comes at an excellent price so I am hopefull

If you enlarge the picture at the website you will see that it says J118 on the e-cigs. They are the same. I have seen that pic on many Chinese websites. I especially like the recharging case you can get for it. Not easy to find in US.

I have seen many other cool e-cigs on the Chinese sites that I can't seem to find on the US sites. Seems like the US has mostly old stuff. I especially like the e-cigs with asian designs on them. Hard to find here in the US.

IMHO if the parts are not interchangable then it should not be referred to by the same model number. To say new or old just confuses people, especially us newbs.

EXACTLY my point. Why on EARTH does this model have ANYTHING to do with the DSE901 model. It is called DSE901 because of a reason, it is the SPECIFIC model number. For people that are new to all of this like me, it only made me confused and waste a few days trying to find this "new" DSE901 kit. But from what I can tell the DSE901 is the same as it always was, and there are some new kits that came out in 2009 that resemble the DSE901 in length, but are not interchangeable with it, nor do they use the same cartridge, battery, or atomizer. NONE of the parts are the same or interchangeable so therefore except for maybe the length I can't think of any reason people are calling this the "2009 DSE901". I am just going to figure it is a completely new model
