The new blank cartos look a bit different inside

When I look into a new colored blank carto, I see something (clear? white?) sticking up through the middle a little.

The "other" brand that I bought once, had something like this but bigger and longer. But the Bloogs didn't. What is it? Are they now being made different? If so, why? Do you think this will affect how long my bloog cartos last?

I see that in my prefilled ones... some more noticeable than others.

Yes, in the airtube.

I think he meant that it is the airtube. I think this thing was shown in the autopsy thread.

Sometimes the airtube can be a little up in relation to the rest of the filling. Have seen that on one carto.

I have seen that as well. Or it could be there is slightly less fill making the air tube down the center more obvious.

They wind the filler batting around the airtube by hand, so there's some inconsistency. Honestly, they're about the most consistent of any factory out there, but any stage that is done by hand will always have some inconsistency.

I've seen it a few times, never concerned me -- they work just the same as far as I can tell. It's not like 1/4 of it is out of place, just a bit peeking over the edge of the filler.

That makes sense. And they're working great. I was just curious if something was different about these.
