The new forums

Am I alone in hating the new forums? I can not seem to adjust to it which means I have not been using it much. I think my problem is that I can not visually separate everything easily. Every time I have to look for something to click and takes a while to find it as it all runs together. Hard to tell status of threads too. Hard figure out stickies and hard to figure post statuses.

I wish it was theme-able.

I like it, I wish it wasn't an all white background but it's easier to use. Faster, I like the notifications better as well as the quote notifications.

Just FYI, other themes are being worked on. We've just had other priorities ahead of that (like, oh, getting the forum not to crash and stuff) Now that the dust is settling some, we can tweak the looks and add another theme ... maybe 2?

It's one of several reasons I'm not on here every day anymore. The other is I'm super busy - but - when I have a free moment, the new forum doesn't appeal to me, so I tend to devote free moments to, you know, vaping

I didn't like the new ESPN web page, but I eventually got used to it. I wasn't crazy about the change to this new forum, but...meh..

I agree, it was tough at first but with use I've gotten used to it. And I do like the new options!

I do agree that feature wise this is a much better forum. I really think my problem is the colors (The just merge visually making it hard to use) so hopefully when we get themes I can fix it. I think another reason I can't get it is because the text color blends to much with the background make it harder to read posts too.

Hmm to update my thoughts - I received my first PM yesterday since the switch, and I actually like the new PM interface a lot more than the old one. It's like the PM becomes its own thread. I like that

Almost every day I notice one little improvement here and maybe two over there - they are working on it - so all I can say if patience my friends - patience. They could of brought the site back complete, but then it would have been down for a month - two days is better than a month - yea we live with a little tweaking as it occurs, but did not have to lose the forum for more than a couple of days.

Or bring it back with all threads, members, mods, and admins deleted. Went through one like that. Took a few months to get everyone and everything back and it was a forum 1/3 the size of ECF.
