Depending on what part of philly, maybe 1 to 1.5 hours

Just make sure to check the site for hours...as what that says, is what it will be.
you can also call first to be sure.

No matter where in Philly, it's a hell of a lot closer than it would be from Massachusetts. I usually have plenty of time to kill, so it would be totally worth it.

I'll be sure to check the hours or call for sure.

I usually dont leave it on its' side (since my provari can sit upright with no probs)
but we did some testing and it seems to be ok.

Towards the end of your fill, you will need to turn'er upside down to re-wick and unless it you forget that you are hanging it..
it doesnt leak. lol.

I guess gravity is a powerful thing and can do some things.
But I have not had any leakage to date, even when I fall asleep and find it on its' side in the morning.

Sorta.

It will enter the CE2 ceramic cup, and when you sit it back up, what ever is in the cup will have no place else to go but down.
But it is about a drop worth.
If you train yourself to take a hit after setting it up, there should be nothing but maybe some residue or condensation that runs down the center tube,

Yeah, you deal with that dynamic with the ceramics regardless. When the carto is still fresh, it wicks fine even when you leave it upright. After a lot of use though, the wicks get kinda gummy, and they seem to perform best when you lay them on their side in between puffs (so that gravity brings the juice up to the edge of the cup).

One thing of note - these ceramics are like energizer bunnies. You can wash/re-use SO many times its crazy. I bought 4 boxes many months ago (20 total), and I've washed them all, 5 or 6 times now, and haven't had a single one die on me. Only reason my stock is dwindling is because I keep losing them somehow. haha I'm down to like 10.

They take some getting used to, but I think they're one of the best ways to vape period. They don't interfere with the flavor, tastes very pure. Its basically the same flavor you get from direct dripping. Also, I'm a look-under-the-hood kinda guy, and I like to be able to look right at the atty to see how its doing - especially being a VG-only vaper, which tends to gunk up atties faster than PG. When the vapor starts to get weak, I can tell just by looking at the coil, if its the battery or if its due to buildup and time to switch to a fresh cart.

I'm excited to try the SSR! Will probably just wait till you've got the clearomizers in stock, and order them all at once

Having just bought a map tank, had it leak all of the juice (about 4 ml) out of the bottom thru the connector, pulled the top cap off to salvage what fluid I could and the clear plastic tube cracked making it unusable, I am very much interested in this.

I got 2 hours use out of my map tank and quite frankly, it was awesome while it lasted...

So, when will these be available? I just ordered a Provari about a week ago (should be here in 2 weeks or so from now) and would absolutely love one of these with it.

I also drive for a living (12 hours a day) so having something that is both easy to fill and easy to replace the carto would be very handy.

When you say it leaked out the bottom, had it been laying on its side or upside-down?

MAP's and Rob's SSR are both built around ceramic cartos - and with ANY ceramic, you have to be a little more mindful about keeping it upright. You can lay it on its side if its around half-full. If its totally full, and you lay it down on its side, after a while, juice will slowly enter into the cup area and eventually flow down the center shaft to the battery connector. This happens to me with regular CE2 cartos as well though, even with no tank mod on it.

The tube cracking is a whole other issue though. Probably just has to do with the materials used. From what I've seen, it looks like MAP uses a harder, more glass-like plastic tube (it does look very nice). Rob's SSR uses a slightly more transluscent plastic tube, which is incredibly strong, but may have a bit more give to it. I can't even imagine "cracking" this thing - it would bend before it cracks. Might not be quite as pretty, but may also be able to absorb the stress of removing/replacing better. I don't have a MAP though, so this is just conjecture

Yea, no, it was in my shirt pocket upright and drained around the threaded portion of the atty, not thru the center post. The reason I know this is by the time I noticed, the whole thing was completely drained all in my shirt pocket.

Yes, it is a pretty device that works well but it isnt going to work for me.

I really am in desperate need of one that is just like the map tank except I want the top and bottom pieces to unscrew for easy refilling and carto replacing.

I am willing to pay ALOT for something that works (hell, I paid for the GGTS and AVS v2 and that was over $300 and no, it didnt work either).

At this point, Id pay for a prototype of one of these things and then buy the real deal once its out.

I am desperate at this point. As I said before, I drive 12 hours a night 6 days a week and dripping, carts, cartomizers simply dont hold the 3 ml of fluid I smoke a day.

Ah, yeah, OK - definitely on the same page then - I had seen some people commenting on the MAP's leaking through the connector threads after they'd left them full and laying on their side all night and I (like most seasoned CE2 users) thought "well duh!" That must've been a fun day for you with a shirt pocket full of juice! Sounds like there was just a bad seal in there or something

I did also see a few other posts about the tube cracking on that one. On the website, it says delrin/lexan, so I'm guessing the map tube is made from lexan, which is a very nice looking (and incredibly clear) thermoplastic. It's quite strong, and I believe more flexible than acrylic/plexi, but put too much stress on it and it'll crack. GP's SSR isn't as clear - I'm not sure what it is exactly, but definitely not lexan or plexiglass. Might just be the shaft from a syringe - I don't know. As a test just now, I (nervously) popped the top seal off of mine, and squeezed the end of the tube - and sure enough, it bent itself into an oval, no cracking etc..., and then went back to its normal shape when I let go. I don't want to push my luck, and see what happens when I squeeze as hard as I can, heh, but it does have some "give" to it
