I'm not trying to be a smartazz, but who established that??? lol ;)

BTW, here are 2 more Video's of the Vapor production of the Patriot (same guy uploaded a couple new vids). This Vap is looking pretty dense to me! :)

Vapor cloud 4 - YouTube

Vapor cloud 2 - YouTube

It's been known since the Hellfire gennies and probably beforehand.

It's the reason many high end atomizers are now coming with reduced chambers and why you can even buy replacement reduced chamber caps for the cheaper ones.

Kinda wanna bring back this thread xD @EtherMagic, you wanted to get this rda because of the guy in the video blowing massive clouds? I'm pretty sure if you put his build in any other rda, you'd be blowing as big as clouds as him. His setup was 24g Kanthal 3 wrap mico coil dual setup at .2ohms also he has his patriot drilled out to 5/32!!!!! 3.9mm DUAL AIR HOLES!!!!!

It's the best atty I own. I've built quads, but discharges a battery in no time. I also like the fact that it holds the most wick. It's well worth the money.

I took your advice after much research and.... :D

I purchased the Helios from Nimbus9vapes for $100! :) Great deal considering most are selling it at $115-$120. It is the USA version with the two bigger airholes instead of 3 small 1mm holes (i read the USA version is the better of the two, more redefined and updated).

Its still in the mail, along with the Patriot. The Patriot should be showing up tomorrow, with the Helios delivery set for Monday. Man I can't wait to get both, but to be honest, I'd be lieing if I said I wasn't anticipating the Helios more. After seeing many Vids and reviews on Helios (ran into your vids a couple times aswell Jimi D!), its just such a unique atty compared to everything else out there. Really looking forward to building on it! :)

Btw Jimi, do you have the Filipino version or USA version of Helios? Thx brother!

I just bought one over the phone today!

Cant wait!

I also own a nimbus, but I want another 3 post atty thats a 22mm, and looks sexy. To me the patriot and Nimbus are probably equal. They look to have the same specs. Price, they're pretty close too.

I love 3 post RDA's with a recessed juice well, to collect extra juice if you over-drip/flood.

I cant wait!!!!

I also had them drill both airholes out to 3/32 - I direct lung hit, and usually rock dual coils at .4Ω - .5Ω.. so I need dat extra airflow!!

My atomizers I use on a daily basis: GG ithaka, Nimbus, Smoketech RSST, AGA-T2, Omega RDA, and IGO-W(1st RDA i bought).

Yea totally!!! lol

I have the Nimbus on my Vanilla Mod from Smok-e Mountain Mech Works... I figured the Vanilla straight from the Philippines, might as will toss the Filipino Nimbus on there too and keep it 100% Filipino.

I also have a Korean made Geobukseon "Turtle Ship" mod - putting the Patriot on that one until I get a really nice 100% USA Mech Mod...

I was looking at the VapeRev edition of the "Nemsis" (greek) - but Silver Plated contacts are trash.... they wear off (my friends wore off in 6 weeks).. so I'm looking for a nice Burshed/Brass 18650 mod made in the USA.

100% USA Patriot atty w/ 100% USA Mech Mod.. any recommendations of sexy USA 18650 Mods?

im confused as to why nicely-built attys cost so much. is it the materials, or is it the intellectual design they are charging for? perhaps the manufacturer paid a lot for the machine that makes the parts and they need to charge that much to pay off their machine? i just dont understand how they arrive at such a large (to me) price tag.

edit: im not trying to sound like a douche. i genuinely am curious as to what makes these attys cost so much.

Take the cost of materials, maybe they mark it up 100%, which is probably the case since it's a booming industry. My friend works at a manufacturing facility for some [MAJOR juice companies. he said as of this month, 75% of the juice brands on the market today get their stuff made elsewhere, and just re-sticker as a private label. A 100 gallon drum costs him under $50.00 to manufacture. And that's USA made in Southern California.

The margin e-cig/mods/juice companies are making right now are INSANE! That's why I love it. It's true capitalism, may the strong brands survive, and the crap go out of business.

Back to your original question, if a "high-end" atty costs anywhere between $70.00 - $100.00 - Assume the company has to buy parts from multiple manufacturers for their supplies, and most of their master distributors have to get their stuff from china, or maybe the US. It'll probably mean the company that is selling you the item (the brand of the atty) raw costs are probably around $30.00 - $40.00

New markets start high then drop.

It really is a tough decision to pick one after weeding through all the top line RDA'a. Had it down to two, VA Cyclops (Cyclone AFC) with VA cap and dripper and the Helios. In the end went with the Helios for two reasons, 1. was not sure I wanted the smallish size of the Cyclops and 2. liked the 4 post set up in the Helios.
Just ordered it so am waiting for vape mail.
