question about the patriot does it come stock with two air holes? is it possible to use it with single coil ? and one air hole?

Comes stock with two air holes. You could do single coil, but you'd probably wanna block off one of the holes. Or if you like big air holes maybe use it so that instead of one air hole in front of the coil there be the 2 stock air holes coming from the side. Just a thought.

yea don't like that much Im not big on dual coils a single micro is more than enough vapor for me wish it had a single air hole option like the omega

would it be possible to add a third airhole on opposite side of the logo for a single coil option? like the omega

I mean you can drill in a 3rd hole if you wanted, but it's kinda pointless since the Omega has an AFC to select whether you want to use two holes or one. The Patriot doesn't have that, so all 3 holes would be taking in the air. Only way to run single coil is to block off one of the holes. I've seen people plugging holes up with JB Weld.

I run my patriot with one single coil, have the holes positioned in front of and behind the coil. The holes are stock, and small. I don't find the draw to be airy @ all.

I've had the same experience with my IGO W's if the wick and coil are set up properly, if not vapor production slacks off and it gets a little harsh. Sometimes I'm lazy and just jam the non coil hole with a toothpick and snip it off with a pair of dykes but if I have it set right then the extra air doesn't hurt at all but with one of the holes plugged the draw gets pretty tight. I wish the three post setups came with an extra cap with one hole.

It really is a tough decision to pick one after weeding through all the top line RDA'a. Had it down to two, VA Cyclops (Cyclone AFC) with VA cap and dripper and the Helios. In the end went with the Helios for two reasons, 1. was not sure I wanted the smallish size of the Cyclops and 2. liked the 4 post set up in the Helios.
Just ordered it so am waiting for vape mail.

- I just have to let you know, I highly recommend my Patriot RDA... it is by far my best atty!

- It has the recessed juice-well (extremely important)

- It has 3 posts for easy-to-build dual coil setups.

- You can get it in polished or brushed finish.

- The place you order it from online will drill out the airholes to a bigger size for you, before shipping it! I had them drill both my holes out to 3/32 since I direct-lung inhale.

- It's a 22mm atty, which means it will sit flush and not look smaller than your battery mod... Unless you're running a 20mm mod, I don't even know of any.

I noticed that when I unscrew all my screws, my center pin screw sits higher up... but all my posts are in-line with one another.

Shaketuga - Can you take a picture of it and post so we can see what you're talking about?

Hey Shaketuga ~

I know what you're talking about!!! My center pin became off-set too! :(

However,

I was able to fix it... What basically happened is, when I was tightening down my center pin, after attaching my coils... if you screw the center pin too tightly, it will literally start turning the center pin. How did I fix this?

Well I took out my coils to re-build some freshies, and with the coils out of my device, I took a screw, screwed it down into the center post (with no coil attached) and started tightening it... I basically tighten the screw down until the center post started turning. I got it to where the center pin was level, and center to the other negative posts.

Then I noticed that the bottom contact was sticking out.... all you need to do is take your thumb and push the contact down until it's flush again...

Kind of a weird intentional/unintentional quark to this device.... I'm not sure if the Patriot was meant to have a floating center pin or not...

Hopefully this makes sense to you... in a nutshell:

- Take your coils out

- Tighten the screw to your center post completely. Once it's all the way down, if you continue to screw you will notice that the center pin (positive post) will start to spin. As it spins, the bottom contact (contact that connects the atty to your mod) will start start to protrude.

- Continue to tighten your center post, until it spins around and is sitting evenly with the other posts.

- The bottom connector is protruding, simply take your thumb, apply some pressure and push it in, it will snap back and be sitting flushly, and will not longer be protruding.

**I believe this was actually part of the design. It allows people with certain types of mods to screw down the center pin, and adjust the length of the contact. Some older Mods on the market have contacts that cannot be adjusted. I believe this is why they made the center pin movable, to adjust the contact of the atomizer. From the Patriot's website:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

High volume tank equals higher air flow for larger vapor clouds; more room for wick equals more juice for more hits. Measures 22mm for a flush look on most mods.

Precisely sized vapor ports allow laminar flow for a clean steady pull with no turbulence in the vape stream

Zero resistance press fit terminal posts keep the power constant on every hit.

Unique dynamic quad ring seal keeps any extra juice inside the tank

Through hole terminal design guarantees positive multi-point electrical contact to deliver maximum current to the coils.

Precision machined components from the highest grade 303 stainless steel ensure exact fits for consistent, even current draw to coils

Dual o-ring design adds mechanical stability to tank and drip tip while keeping the air stream on the coils where you want it to maximize the vape.

Unique heat sink fin gives it that custom look and design and also removes up to 50% more heat during a chain vape.
