Mystery solved. I got this response directly from fasttech:

Hi (salemgold),

Sorry to tell you that the material of the tank in sku1384900 is abs, which is the best kind of the environmental friendly plastic with excellent transparency.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thanks. It's good to know that.

That thing looks great, better than protank IMO. I think the wider base will perform a lot better. I don't like how the wick area is so small, almost so much so that the wicks are blocked by the base when you put them in the protank. Think its a source of a lot of my problems with it including lack of flavor. I pretty disappointed I wasted 18$ on the protank when this is, for me At least, a better option

So, can ABS crack or not? I want to order some of these - they look cool and I want to use my own drip tip (and I have some paypal burning a hole in my pocket, lol!)

Here's the answer to your question.

Too bad though, other that that it's made with ABS and not pyrex, the x9 is actually really well build. :(

Oh well, already filed a return ticket with FT, but it does look quite nice being frosted though (somewhat resembles my RSST). :D

Ooooh good to know Cedric - I have X9s coming too - I need to keep them away from Cola. I guess I won't be ordering the X10s - shoot, I liked the red!

Why not? Just live a little - we can't worry too much or it defeats the object of having fun. Most fun involves a little danger imho. :)

I ordered 4 of these a week ago and FT delayed sending until today which hasn't happened before...sooo .. I think that this is a pretty hot item at the moment since they undoubtedly had to re stock to fill my order. I'm pretty exited about these after reading through all of this thread. Thanks everyone for the input. I love these forums. And a special thanks to Eric for all the info.

What juice did you put in that tank? I would question the safety of a juice that would do that. I have an X8 and have used a ton of juices in it and it still has a perfectly clear ABS tank.

The liquid I put in the tank is TFA's cinnamon red hots flavoring, I usually mix it at 10% but decided to use it undiluted to speed up the process. But yeah, even with glass tanks I'll try to avoid vaping cinnamon type eliquids in the future.

I got mine today. It seems solid, heavy and holds a lot of juice. It holds nearly 3.5 to 4ml. The draw is a little tight and giving it a little turn helps. The draw seems just perfect for me. For 7 bucks its a bargin, I am ordering a few more for myself and my daughter.
Mine should be here tomorrow or Wednesday. Pyrex or not, I really don't care. It's a sweet looking tank! Like I mentioned in a prior post...if the draw is better then the Kanger Protank, I'll be a happy camper.

As of right now, the "Anyvape Viva" has become my go 2 tank

Sounds like a winner for a lot of people, which is awesome. Kinda glad I didn't order, after finding out it's not pyrex - maybe it's a noob thing but I switch up flavors a couple times a day and loading 2 days' worth of juice into one clearo sounds like a little bit of overload for me. Maybe it's like with analogs and I'll settle into a few juices I hit constantly after a while, but I rarely bought the same pack twice in a row as a teenager (once I was old enough to graduate beyond the shady guys at the Mexican video store that sold bootlegged Bensons and Marlboros to kids) and I feel like right now I'm having too much fun playing the field to settle down with one juice for more than a few vape sessions in a row...

Haha funny stuff!! I was born and raised in Cali for 30 years. I can relate to the bootleg cigarettes. Hell...we used to go to TJ to stock up on smokes.

I used to feel the same way about having to much juice in one tank. But now, I've actually got a tank for each flavor I vape. It's very easy to rotate flavors.
