Not into mechs yet, will just be running it on my iTaste SVD.

Thinking of buying this Kayfun clone, with these cotton balls.

Exactly what type of kanthal wire do I need to buy, and what type of coil/wick style should I go for? Something very simple and easy for a first time build.

I'm mainly confused about the gauge, how many wraps, how much cotton to use etc. I've been watching youtube tutorials but I've no idea if what I'm watching actually applies to my kayfun clone/svd combo as peeps generally do everything with mechs in mind. Fully not ready for that yet.

And most importantly, after going into all this effort and spending even more money (i shudder to think of how much I've spent on juices already!) will I see any tangible benefit over my current garden variety protank 3 / mini 2 / aspire nautilus sort of systems?

Love the Kayfuns. My fave is the kayfun lite plus. Easy to fill with an adj air hole not that i use the adj. I have it wide open. Never tried cotton balls have used organic cotton twine works good for one filling then you have to change it. My fave wick is either ekowool or Twick. TWICK is a hybrid of cotton core with ekowool outer shell. I make it my self. But just plain ekowool the good stuff works pretty damn good and you can dry burn it and get more than one tank per build. There are a lot of clones some good and some not so good. I got mine from Discount Vapers and Fasttech. Not that cheap one they sell that is kayfun like. Hope this is of some help. Oh i use either 2.5mm or 3mm twick or ekowool. 2mm is to small. When I use the 2.5mm i place a floater wick on top of it that goes down into the well also. Works real good. I use one frayed 1mm wick as a floater but may be able to use 2mm.
