I'm going to leave the RM2 alone for now. Drilling it is no big deal but it may end up in the classies once my Chalice III gets here.

If you post that RM2 in the classies be sure to give me a heads up! I am loving mine!

I really, really, really want to try a twisted coil in my Reo. I've been looking at RipTripper's videos all morning. I have a mini with an RM2, is it doable?

Of course it is. Your finished twisted wire needs only to fit thru the post holes (unless you drill them bigger), so you might want to start with twisted 30 or 28g.

You'll easily be able to fit a coil in the gap between RM2 posts, i have a sofa in mine! Supposed to be really good flavour from twisted builds too.

I'll ask the noob question, as I start to get back to wrapping coils...what's the advantage of twisted coils? Do they make that big a difference?

They drop the ohms in half for a given number of wraps and it has more surface area to heat up juice and can producing more flavor

And yes, they do make a difference. I don't know if I'll ever go back to a single cable coil.
