Why be so defensive? I'm just asking an opinion.

I think it comes down to what works for you really. I work at a desk all day with access to everything I need so changing batteries at 3.8 and topping off my Reos whenever I want is feasible for me. Others maybe not so much. You'll get into your own rhythm/vape style at some point. Just enjoy the ride. I had a pretty stressful 2014 but never once did I think of going back to stinkies :)

So to demonstrate J-wraps for Reo's, here is my Reo and a cameo appearance of the beautiful drip tip Reign gifted to me sitting on my Veritas with Katy's Virus.

Like RattlerX I have several Reos, only 9 for me. I give them a wash and Dexoit at least once every month and 1/2. When I only had two I did it more often. I also vape at 1 to 1.2 ohms if I was rocking much lower ohms I do it every few week.

10 and counting for me. Its all Taki's fault with a bit of K2 thrown in there as well!..:p

I run all of mine between 0.4 and 1.0 ohms. As both Rattler and FB have confirmed, really no need to Deoxit at every change. Once you have treated the contacts and batteries, they are good to go for a while. The reason I use the D100 pen (red) first is that it cleans and preserves the contacts. The G100 (gold) then maintains and protects the contact points. If you want to take it a step further you can use the S100 Deoxit Shield (blue) which is for more extreme conditions such as moisture and salt. It creates a protective barrier against oxidation and corrosion but for our needs, it may be just a bit of an overkill.

I use the isopropyl and Q tips for the cleaning of the pin and spring and the eraser on the batteries. Should of been more clear in my original post.

You bring another good point. The environment....West Texas dirt....lol I work where we have had ongoing construction for the last 7 years. Just walking from one building to the next can give you a good dose of sand in the face each day. My REO's can collect a sand castle worth of grit just sitting in my pocket. I hope that by April they will finish the last Phase of construction and start landscaping.

I know that feeling all too well. A 9 year plant upgrade going on here. Thankfully, I'll be long gone before it is complete!

Being as the VTC5s are impossible to find anymore, and are no longer being made, I've been using LG HE2s. They're 2500 mAh, with a 35a continuous rating. I love them, and they were recommended by the owner of a local vape shop. But I do have purple Efest that I use pretty regular too. I build anywhere from .4 to .9ohms. So you'll be safe with whichever you choose.

Joe, not trying to be argumentative here. Those LG HE2's are not 35 amp continuous, they are rated at 20 amp continuous. I know there are some sites out there that are saying that they have "internal tests" showing 35 amp continuous but the official rating so far is at 20 amps. That 35 amp is a pulse rating so far. The purple Efests that advertise a 35 amp continuous rating are also only a 20 amp continuous as well.
I just want everyone to be safe out there...:)

Gotcha, haven't read those specs anywhere. But I'll take your word for it, better safe than sorry. Either way, unless you're vaping at .2ohms or below, 20a continuous is well within the batteries ratings. A .3 ohm coil is pushing somewhere around 14amps.

Good to know about the actual rating of said batteries though. I guess there aren't any 'great' batteries out there, I'll keep searching for the safest available.

You're totally safe at .4 with those. My personal fav right now is this one. IMR 18650 Battery 30A Orbtronic SX30 Ultra High Drain Hybrid rechargeable Li-ion | Li-Mn it's a VTC4 re wrap and they come in a button top as well, so very Reo friendly. Orbtronics is as reputable as RTD, they just don't sell AW's...

Did ya grab a few? just ordered five more myself and at a righteous price to boot!

No, unfortunately their disclaimer put me off...the SX30's supply the 30 amp I need and I change batteries often enough throughout the day that the extra mah doesn't matter...I've dealt with ES plenty and they are a good company, but I'm pretty skittish about anything vtc5 this late in the game...I still have a few vtc5's that only have about 12 charge cycles on them in my stash, in case I feel compelled to try something at a crazy low ohm...:)

Yeah, I felt the same way at first but ordered the first five to check them out first hand and compare them to the ones that I already have figuring that if they were bogus I would send them back or dispute the charges if need be, but after the comparison, a bit of additional research and having experience with VTC 5's., I am confidant that they are the real deal. They have performed perfectly so far even when I took a fit to build a 0.3 sleeper and blow some major clouds.

This has the same mAH and amp rating. It is a re wrapped VTC 4, and a few bucks cheaper.
Xtar High Drain 18650 2100mAh 30a (Sony VTC4 cell) - RTD vapor

I am buying a few of these this week for the new 510 REO coming out.
